BE: Kitty Katt Discussion & May 6th Topic

GKoch - Alien in the FamilyI would love to thank everyone who came out last night and discussed Gini Koch’s Katherine “Kitty” Katt series with Bells from Hanging with Bells and I. For those who missed the discussion, you can listen to it here:

Gini Koch was on the call as well and we ended up finding out some fabulous tidbits.  For instance, the titles for books five through eight were discussed and we even have tentative release dates.  We’ll get another two books in 2012 – Alien Diplomacy (April) and Alien vs Alien (December); and in 2013, we’ll hopefully get Alien in the House (April) and Alien Collective (December).  Another fun tidbit was that Dan Dos Santos read each book before doing the cover and he is currently working hard on Alien Proliferation‘s cover.

Our next BE Chat will feature the fabulous young adults series the Morganville Vampires by Rachel Caine. Join us on May 6th at 9pm EST as Larissa’s Bookish Life, Calliope’s Domain and myself discuss all things from Glass House to Ghost Town, with a few mentions of Bite Club.

RCaine - Glass HouseCollege freshman Claire Danvers has had enough of her nightmarish dorm situation, where the popular girls never let her forget just where she ranks in the school’s social scene: somewhere less than zero.

When Claire heads off-campus, the imposing old house where she finds a room may not be much better. Her new roommates don’t show many signs of life. But they’ll have Claire’s back when the town’s deepest secrets come crawling out, hungry for fresh blood.

As always, if you’ve missed a past discussion and what to see what went down, you can find all the talks archived on the Bookish Escape page.

I am a 30-something SAHM with two adorable boys and a supportive husband who is very tolerant of my reading addiction. I love to read and easily go through about a dozen books a month – well I did before I had kids. Now, not so much. After my first son was born, I began to take my hobby of reviewing a little more serious and started Literary Escapism to help with my sanity. I love to discuss the fabulous novels I’ve read and meeting all the wonderful people in the book blogging community has been amazing.
