13 Tins of Something

KArmstrong-ThirteenKaren Chance has posted a new short story set in her Cassie Palmer series.  The House at Cobb End answers the question of exactly how old Pritkin’s house is and while it is set prior to the beginning of the Cassie series, it does contain spoilers for the books.  So read at your own risk if you haven’t read the series.

Shiloh Walker has a free eread of Hunters Choice up on Amazon and Barnes & Noble.  I’m not sure if this is a limited time thing or not, so I would get it now while you can. Shiloh has also posted a free Christmas story, A Present for Christmas, to Barnes & Noble and All Romance.

I’m not sure how long this will be available, but the anthology, Wild & Steamy, featuing Meljean Brooks, Carolyn Crane and Jill Myles is currently free at Barnes & Noble and Amazon.  This is definitely a limited time, so get it while you can.

Lauren Dane has posted a snippet from her novel, Mesmerized.

Kelly Meding has posted a snippet from her upcoming Dred City novel, Wrong Side of Death, which releases January 31st.

Author Appearances:

DMonk-Tin SwiftThere are always more fabulous covers popping up. To see them all, head over to facebook, where I’ve added them to the FB album for your viewing pleasure.

So I may have been a little late posting about the GoodReads Choice Awards yesterday, but I can say for a fact that the Final Round is up and a ton of our favorite authors have made the list.  A couple of the categories were really hard.

Sad news in the publishing world today.  Anne McCaffrey has passed away at the age of 85.  Anne was the first woman to win a Hugo and a Nebula as well as became the first SF/F writer to land on the NY Times list.  She was definitely a force to reckon with when it comes to Fantasy and she’s going to be missed.

Romantic Times posted their nominees for their Reviewers Choice Awards and lots of fabulous authors made the list.

Wicked Scribes has a bunch of random updates which include the release date for a new Angie Fox novel.  Immortally Yours will be released next August.

It looks like I missed a couple of Misadventures in Stock Photography by Stumbling Over Chaos.  In fact, there are three of them.  There is this one, which features Torso Guy; then we have this one, which features Shoulder Guy; and finally this one, which features Neck Crick Guy.

Tez Says has found a bunch of new publication deals.  Some include Erica Hayes’ new dark paranormal romance, Darynda Jones’ next 2 Charley Davidson novels and Maggie Stiefvater‘s The Scorpio Races will be getting the film treatment thanks to Warner Brothers.

I haven’t read the Hunger Games yet, but the trailer for the upcoming movie definitely has my interest. Just not sure if it’s enough to get me to pull out the books before going.

About Jackie 3282 Articles
I am a 30-something SAHM with two adorable boys and a supportive husband who is very tolerant of my reading addiction. I love to read and easily go through about a dozen books a month – well I did before I had kids. Now, not so much. After my first son was born, I began to take my hobby of reviewing a little more serious and started Literary Escapism to help with my sanity. I love to discuss the fabulous novels I’ve read and meeting all the wonderful people in the book blogging community has been amazing.
