Paranormal Romance has posted an excerpt from PC Cast & Gena Showalter’s After Moonrise.

There’s a few deals going on over at Amazon right now. A few ebooks have been listed for $2.99: Infinite Days by Rebecca Maizel, Ruined by Paula Morris, Wake by Amanda Hocking, Shiver by Maggie Stiefvater, and Firelight by Kristen Callihan. In addition, Melissa de la Cruz’s Blue Bloods is currently $3.49. I also just found a Razorland novella, Endurance, by Ann Aguiree that’s only $.99 and a Disillusionist novella, Devil’s Luck, by Carolyn Crane that is $1.99.

Jeaniene Frost has signed a three-book deal with Harlequin for her “new adult” series, Realmwalker, with the first book to come out in 2014. Here’s the description from Frost’s website:

Jeaniene Frost’s REALMWALKER, in which a young woman discovers she’s the last member of an ancient line with an unwanted destiny; and that her only ally, a mysterious young man is destined to betray her… and doom the world

Devon Monk has announced the titles for the first two novels in her new Broken Magic series.  Set as a spin-off from her Allie Beckstrom series, Hell Bent will begin the Shame and Terric series on November 5th, with the second novel, Stone Cold, following in April 2014.

Suvudu has the news that George RR Martin is contributing a 15k word Fire & Ice novella to a new anthology titled Dangerous Woman. While that may pique your interest, you should see the lineup. Holy crap does it have an amazing lineup. Suvudu has the completely listing, but just to give you a hint, we’re talking Diana Gabaldon (with an Outlander story), Jim Butcher (with a Dresden story), Carrie Vaughn,  Diana Rowland, and Sherrilyn Kenyon. See what I mean? Sadly, there’s not a tentative release date yet, but as soon as I see one, you know I’ll be adding it to the Upcoming Releases list.

There’s a new television show in the works that features Jonathan Rhys Meyers as Dracula. It’s not suppose to air until 2013 , and I’m going to assume it’ll be on NBC since they’re producing it, but it’s a more modern take on the character as well. Here’s the synopsis from IDMB:

Dracula arrives in London; posing as an American entrepreneur who wants to bring modern science to the Victorian society even though his real intention is to take revenge on those who destroyed his life centuries earlier, but he falls in love with a with a woman who seems to be a reincarnation of his dead wife.

NNovik-Blood of TyrantsThere are always fabulous covers popping up and I simply can’t post them all, so here’s a select few that have caught my eye. To see them all, head over to facebook, where I’ve added them to the January album for your viewing pleasure. Don’t forget to check out the new covers that came out in November and December.

How did I miss this!? Wicked Scribes found some marketing promo on the next Psy/Changeling novel by Nalini Singh. Yes, I’m still attempting to empty my reader and this was posted back in November, but there seriously hasn’t been a title reveal for Psy/Changeling #12 yet? Although I have to agree with Kaleigha…after reading their spiel, it can only be Ghost. *grin* What do you think?

Get ready for a major event in the smash-hit New York Times bestselling series—a secret finally revealed, and fans are guaranteed an epic surprise.

In 2006, Nalini Singh introduced the beguiling and sensual Psy/Changeling world in Slave to Sensation, which spawned a series that has had readers and critics cheering. Througout the incredible 11-book run there has been one question that has tantalized Nalini’s legion of fans. Now, in the eagerly-awaited twelfth book in the series, Nalini Singh finally reveals the answer to the biggest Psy/Changeling mystery—an answer so surprising we wouldn’t dare spoil it. Even if we knew.

Features a secret so shocking, the title can’t be revealed until publication.

Interesting statistic for the New Author Challenge – In 2011, there was 87 participants and 738 reviews. In 2012, there was 175 participants and 1099 reviews. The NAC doubled in both participants and reviews for 2012. That’s fantastic! Thank you everyone who participated last year! For 2013, we’re already up to 86 participants and it’s only the third week of January. If anyone is interested in trying an author they’re unfamiliar with, then the New Author Challenge is one you should try.

And with the posting of this, my reader is now caught up to January 2013.  This was it for November/December 2012. Yea! I just need to make sure I do not have any duplicate author visits listed and then I will be adding that to Facebook.

I am a 30-something SAHM with two adorable boys and a supportive husband who is very tolerant of my reading addiction. I love to read and easily go through about a dozen books a month – well I did before I had kids. Now, not so much. After my first son was born, I began to take my hobby of reviewing a little more serious and started Literary Escapism to help with my sanity. I love to discuss the fabulous novels I’ve read and meeting all the wonderful people in the book blogging community has been amazing.
