Weekly Geeks #18 – Catch Up Pt. 2

29 September 2008 | Submitted by: Jackie | | No Comment |

Before I get into this weeks Weekly Geeks, let me finish up last weeks challenge.  For Weekly Geek #18, we had to catch up on things and I made a list.  Well, here’s how I did:

  1. Book Review – I had to write a review for this book I couldn’t get into.  It’s The 12th Demon by Bruce Hennigan and I did finally get a review up, but it’s mainly my first impressions on the book.  I plan to do a second part to the review once I finish it, but I need to finish it first.
  2. Housewarming Party – The next item on my list was to get the house ready for our party.  I am ecstatic to say that was accomplished and my house never looked better.  Although it did help that my son was visiting Gramps for the couple of days before the party.
  3. Quick Reviews – I am happy to say that I did get this done.  There were three novels that I pulled off of my TBR shelf that I wanted to do quick reviews for.  I ended up reading all of them for a bit just to re-familiarize myself with them, but I did get the reviews up.  Those books were: Irish Linen by C. McCarthy, Love’s Golden Promise by L. Vinet, Montana Sky by N. Roberts. All three of these books are available at Bookmooch.
  4. Book Audit – The last item on my list didn’t get done.  It was to go through all of my books and make sure that I have them categorized and entered into my database.  It still needs to be done, but I’ll have to get to it at some point.

So that is where I stand on last weeks challenge. I think I did pretty good.  I got 3 out of the 4 finished and the fourth one was more of something I want to do and not something I needed to do.  So it’s all good.
