Welcome to my alternate reality. Escaping into new worlds, meeting new characters and exploring different societies is the only way we have of leaving the harsh reality of life behind us...if only for a little bit.

My fylgjur would be a dog. Dogs are very devoted, but most importantly is the idea that this is a choice they freely make.

Lisa, I loved the idea of the series skipping forward through time. How cool. And I was intrigued that the heroes will have different levels of awareness in their beast forms. Way to mix it up.

As for the mental image of writer running with pandas... Snork. I shall have to consult my rune cards and find my inner were-writer.

(P.S. I need my copy signed!)

I'm fairly sure I'd be a leopard. My husband calls me kitty all the time, but is pretty sure I'm not even close to domesticated. :)

There's a link over at http://realitybypass.blog.com too.

What an excellent interview! Thoughtful questions and answers. I enjoy understanding how a writer goes about creating her characters.

So what would my fylgjur be? I would be a mild mannered dog who gets lots of loving. I could sit around in any room and listen to all the interesting conversations and no one would know that I was taking mental notes for my next book - I would be a novelist by night.
