12 Blogs of Christmas – Day 2

13 December 2009 | Submitted by: Jackie | | 138 Comments |

From the second blog of Christmas,  Literary Escapism gave to you…

That’s right, I’m giving away all three of Judi Fennell’s Mer trilogy – In Over Her Head, Wild Blue Under and an ARC of Catch of a Lifetime as well as the anthology Four Dukes and a Devil, Stray by Rachel Vincent and an ARC of Annette McCleave’s Drawn Into Darkness (I know this one is out already, but this is what I have on my shelves) to two lucky readers.  That’s right, I’ll draw two names, one for each grouping.  Entering into the contest is fairly easy.  All you have to do is answer this one question: What are you hoping to find under the Christmas tree this year?

As always, there’s more ways of getting your name in the hat:

  1. Edited to Add: International entries are welcome!
  2. +1 for each place you post about today’s contest on your blog, social network, or anywhere you can. Digg it, stumble it, twit it, share it with the world. Wherever you share it, make sure you add a link to it along with your answer.
  3. +1 Join the Literary Escapism Facebook page and you’ll get an additional entry. Make sure you leave a comment so I know that’s why you’re joining. If you’re already a fan, let me know and you’ll get an additional entry for that as well.
  4. +2 subscribe to Literary Escapism’s newsletter in the sidebar.
  5. +10 purchase any novel through LE’s Amazon store sometime during this contest and send a copy of the receipt VIA email for your purchase to: myjaxon AT gmail DOT com. Each purchase is worth ten entries and it has to be through the LE Amazon Link.

I’ll determine the winner with help from the Research Randomizer and the List Randomizer. All entries must be in by midnight on Dec 31st.

This is only day 2 of the 12 Blogs of Christmas, so if you haven’t already, make sure you stop by The Neverending Shelf for a chance to win.  There are still 10 more days of contests left, so don’t forget to check back at these great sites for more:

Day 3 Library Lizard Lounge
Day 4 Bites
Day 5 Ellz Readz
Day 6 The Page Flipper
Day 7 Luxury Reading
Day 8 Princess Bookie
Day 9 Shooting Stars Mag
Day 10 Book Rat

Great contest! I hope it’s open internationally!

What are you hoping to find under the Christmas tree this year?

I don’t think I’ve ever been disappointed my a present at Christmas, I’m always grateful for whatever I get. Saying that, I have on my wishlist a number of books (around 20), some PC point & click games, a few DVDs and CDs, and various other bits and pieces – including some silver hoop earrings, I need a new pair!

For what I expect to get under the Christmas tree – nothing really. My husband and I don’t make that much money so I don’t expect him to spend a lot – but IF he makes me a card or buys my a bag of Tatter-tots I’d me more than overjoyed. But then the answer would be “what I expect to find in the freezer :P

I tweeted it, and my twitter account is twitter.com/mellerita – but it’s blocked. I’d link to it but I don’t know how to do that.

    So I guess

For Christmas i don’t really want anything for myself just for the doctors to find a treatment to help my mum. You see she has a rare form of arthritis that can cause blindness & the only way at the moment to treat it is with high doses of steroids which make her very ill. So if the doctors could find another way to treat her then that would be the best present i could find under my christmas tree.
