I snagged Gail Carriger’s Blameless today, have already zipped through Maria Snyder’s Spy Glass and L.A. Meyer’s latest Bloody Jack, and now am just waiting on Masques and Bayou Moon :)

Hmm I can’t think of a specific favorite beginning. I am with everyone else to say I like a really memorable moment or some catchy lines with the first few chapters. Not to say I won’t read the ones that take longer to develop, but I the others tend to stay with me longer.

Thank you so much for this contest! I am really looking forward to Bayou Moon. I read the Edge a few months ago and then go ALL of her other books. I literally didn’t stop reading for 4-5 days; thank god I was on a break for school!

Dark and Disorderly by Bernita Harris has some of the most gripping first pages in the books I’ve read recently.
