Rune Witch Series by L. Stamps

When approached with this series to review I was ecstatic because I have been a fan of Laura Stamps for a while now. When it comes to sex and erotica, Laura definitely knows her stuff!

“The Rune Witch Series” is an erotica novella trilogy, featuring Noelle (a feisty alpha Rune Witch) and her HAWT boyfriend Wynn (a sexy shapeshifter). Wynn and Noelle appeared in two of “The Witchery Series” novels (“What Witches Want” and “Call of the Witches”) as secondary characters. Now this lusty couple has a series of their own, which takes place during the hot summer months of August and September in sultry South Carolina.

Sex Magick
Noelle Wylie is a Rune Witch, and at thirty-five she’s got it all. This year she bought her dream home. Then she let Wynn, her darkly handsome, shapeshifter boyfriend move in. One evening Wynn gives Noelle a book on “sex magick.” Intrigued, she decides to give it a try. However, just as she experiences some of the best sex of her life she discovers Wynn has a hidden agenda. Uh-oh!

Bewitched at the Beach
In this erotica novella Wynn is offered a long weekend trip to Hilton Head Island by his vampire boss, Drayton Manigault (from “A Vampire’s Kiss”). Of course, Wynn and Noelle jump at the chance. However the corporate beach house where they spend this three-day sexfest may never be the same again! *lusty grin*

The Harvest Moon
After their neighbor, Savannah, has her a handfasting/wedding, Noelle and Wynn are left in charge of cleaning up Savannah’s house. Of course, all work and no play threatens to make Noelle a cranky girl. Horrors! Thankfully, Wynn isn’t about to let that happen, so he seduces her with edible bubble bath, light bondage, sex, sex, and more sex. Everything is coming up roses for those two until Noelle discovers she’s let the cat out of the bag. Kinda.

All three of The Rune Witch novellas – Sex Magick, Bewitched at the Beach and The Harvest Moon – are very short, quick reads but do not let that fool you as this couple is hot hot HOT! Each novella seems to be about a day (or two) in the lives of Noelle and Wynn. Normally I don’t like shorter books and I tend to not like erotica that much – or rather not be in the mood for it all that much, but these were a very special treat for me because Laura Stamps is an excellent story teller!

As with most erotica books/novellas there really isn’t much of a plot (but I knew that going into this series), Wynn is trying to get Noelle to marry him and she is an avid *no marriage* sort of gal. Wynn and Noelle’s interactions are quite humorous and it made me really want to get to know these characters a lot more, though being an erotic novella that made it a bit hard (ha! pun! lol). I hope that Laura continues writing about these characters and makes the books longer.

One thing that bugged me about these were the terms of endearment Wynn used, and its a personal preference more than anything and should not reflect the author. I just don’t like the term *darlin*, so it bugged me a bit.

Overall, I thought Sex Magick, Bewitched at the Beach and The Harvest Moon were outstanding, the sex scenes were some of the best I have read to date. If you are into erotica these are definitely a MUST READ!
