As I sit here, listening to my son scream his head off because he doesn’t want to take his nap, I find out that Ruth, from Books, Books & More Books, nominated me for the Premios Dardas award!  How awesome is that?  This is actually kind of a nifty one too since it acknowledges the values that every blogger shows in his/her effort to transmit cultural, ethical, literary and personal values every day.  Now I suppose to nominate 15 blogs as well, so here they are: Alpha Heroes, American Bibliophile, Darque Reviews, Paranormality, Patricia’s Vampire Notes, SciFiGuy, Sidhe Vicious, Tez Says, Urban Fantasy Land, and Vampire Wire.  Well, there isn’t 15 blogs there, but they are the ones that I continually watch via my RSS Feeder.  ;)

The New York Comiccon has announced their lineup and there is one that looks really interesting:

Kick-Ass Female Heroes and Killer Heroines: Eos and Avon Books have a question for you — Why are vampires, werewolves, fairies, angels, demons, and denizens of the otherworld so damned sexy? Panelists include Kim Harrison (White Witch, Black Curse), Jeaniene Frost (At Grave’s End), Vicki Pettersson (City of Souls), Jocelynn Drake (Dayhunter), and Margaret Ronald (Spiral Hunt). The event is moderated by Michael Spradlin (The Youngest Templar). (Sunday, 1:45-2:45pm)

I can’t be there, so hopefully someone who will be can let me know how it went.

One last bit of news, if you’ve been clicking on the Author Website page, then you’ve probably noticed that it looks a little odd.  I’m in the process of updating and upgrading it, so it might look a little fugly for a bit, but I promise once I’m done, it will be awesome.  My beta testers over at the Yahoo Paranormal Romance Lovers group have given me a few ideas and I’m talking with Jesse to see if they are feasible or not.  With that said, since I am currently trying to update it, if there are any authors that you know of that are not on that list, then let me know.  When you let me know, if you can supply the information for the page, I would greatly appreciate it.  And yes, this is NOT genre specific so any author from any genre is more than welcome to be added.

I am a 30-something SAHM with two adorable boys and a supportive husband who is very tolerant of my reading addiction. I love to read and easily go through about a dozen books a month – well I did before I had kids. Now, not so much. After my first son was born, I began to take my hobby of reviewing a little more serious and started Literary Escapism to help with my sanity. I love to discuss the fabulous novels I’ve read and meeting all the wonderful people in the book blogging community has been amazing.
