It’s Release Day!

Today two books I’ve been waiting for are out. Keri Arthur’s The Darkest Kiss and Jeaniene Frost’s One Foot in the Grave. I’ve already pre-ordered them through Barnes & Noble, so they should be here soon, but I can’t wait to get my hands on them. These are two authors that I’ve been hooked on since I first read them last fall.

I can’t remember how I got hooked on Keri Arthur, but after reading her first novel, I quickly got my hands on the next four. I haven’t done that with an author since I found the Anita Blake series by Laurell K. Hamilton nearly 3 years ago. I love Arthur’s take on werewolf culture and how all the supernaturals play a part in her society. Here’s a synopsis from the new novel:

As for Jeaniene Frost, she was the greatest impulse buy I’ve come across. I was wandering through Meijers and her cover threw me in. I was looking for something new to read, so I gave it a try. I’ve been anxiously waiting for her second novel for four months now and it’s out today. Frost’s heroine, Cat, is kind of new. She’s a vampire hunter, but she’s done it all through luck and she met her match in Bones. Watching the two interact was interesting and I can’t wait to see the two together again.
