Have you read Hush, Hush by Becca Fitzpatrick yet?
A sacred oath, a fallen angel, a forbidden love.
Nora Grey has had a rough year. Her father was murdered and as a result, her mother had thrown herself into work, leaving Nora alone most of the time in their secluded farmhouse. Despite this, she manages to be a very good girl, never missing school, never even driving without permission.
But when the transfer student, Patch, gets assigned as her lab partner in biology, from the moment the two are together, there’s an inescapable magnetism that draws Nora deeper and deeper into his dark world. When she discovers the enormous V-shaped scars on his back, she discovers that there is a battle going on between the fallen and the immortal. And she’s the object.
The magnetism she feels is now more inescapable than ever.
Want to? The wonderful people at Simon & Schuster want to make sure people are ready for the release of Crescendo, which continues Nora and Patch’s story, and have given me two copies of Hush, Hush to give away.
If you’re like me and haven’t read it yet (which I will be rectifying soon) check out what these other bloggers have said: Dirty Smexy Books, Dark Faerie Tales, Bitten by Books, Paperback Dolls, Love Vampires, All Things Urban Fantasy, Book Chick City and Babbling About Books.
Entering the contest is easy. All you have to do is tell me what are you looking forward to in Crescendo? Or…Why do you want to read Hush, Hush? This is mainly so I don’t see “please enter me” comments. If you want the book, prove it. *grin*
As always, there’s more ways of getting your name in the hat (remember, these aren’t mandatory to enter, just extra entries):
- +1 for each place you post about today’s contest on your blog, social network, or anywhere you can. Digg it, stumble it, twit it, share it with the world. Wherever you share it, make sure you add a link to it along with your answer.
- +1 to any review you comment on, however, comments must be meaningful. Just give me the title of the review and I’ll be able to figure it out from there.
- +1 If you are a follower of Literary Escapism on Facebook and/or Twitter
- +10 Preorder Crescendo through LE’s Amazon store or the Book Depository sometime during this contest and send a copy of the receipt VIA email for your purchase to: jackie AT literaryescapism DOT com. Each purchase is worth ten entries.
There is one thing I am adding to my contests now…the winner must post a review of the novel someplace. Whether it is on their own blog, Amazon, GoodReads, LibraryThing or wherever, it doesn’t matter. Just help get the word out.
The contest will stay open until October 5th, at which time I’ll determine the winner with help from the Research Randomizer and the List Randomizer.
I have not been contacting winners, so you will need to check back to see if you’ve won.
And remember, Crescendo is coming out October 19th.
Nora should have know her life was far from perfect. Despite starting a relationship with her guardian angel, Patch (who, title aside, can be described anything but angelic), and surviving an attempt on her life, things are not looking up. Patch is starting to pull away and Nora can’t figure out if it’s for her best interest or if his interest has shifted to her arch-enemy Marcie Millar. Not to mention that Nora is haunted by images of her father and she becomes obsessed with finding out what really happened to him that night he left for Portland and never came home.
The farther Nora delves into the mystery of her father’s death, the more she comes to question if her Nephilim blood line has something to do with it as well as why she seems to be in danger more than the average girl. Since Patch isn’t answering her questions and seems to be standing in her way, she has to start finding the answers on her own. Relying too heavily on the fact that she has a guardian angel puts Nora at risk again and again. But can she really count on Patch or is he hiding secrets darker than she can even imagine?

I want to read “Hush, Hush” because it sounds like a great story that I would enjoy. :)
Thanks for hosting! I have heard a ton about Hush Hush. I work in a high school media center and it is checked out all the time. The kids are already asking for the sequel. So…that’s why I would love to win a copy of my own – so I can quit waiting for one to become available at school.
I don’t want to enter the contest sinec I’ve read both Hush Hush and Crescendo. I enjoyed Crescendo the most out of the two.
I want to read Hush, Hush because I’ve heard a lot about it, but haven’t had a chance to read it yet and it sounds like a great story.
I love angel stories and there are many of them out there. .
3 points for me!!
I want to read Hush, Hush because I’ve heard so much about it. I read Fallen which is said to be similar but I’m hoping this one is much better.
I’m a Facebook fan!
Why ? Because it almost a year and i haven’t got any luck to win this book !!

I’ve been hearing good things about Hush, Hush. That it’s become insanely popular and people are loving it. I’m wondering what the love is all about. I’ve read the cover back and it does sound interesting. I wouldn’t mind giving the first book a try!

So, I had read this book way back when I was able to acquire a copy of it on Bookmooch (good times!). Anyway, I really want my own copy of it now because when I had the ARC, my friend wanted so much more than I did at the time that, well, she had to have it. At the time, I really don’t believe I got it’s full awesome-ness. And now that Crescendo’s coming out, when would be a better time to get back in touch with Hush, Hush?

I’ve been on a YA kick lately and Hush Hush sounds fantastic. A friend of mine already read it and has been insisting I add it to my TBR pile. :-)
I’ve wanted to read Hush Hush for quiet some time now, I’ve heard that it’s great…some of my friends that read the book are even in love with Patch. (yes ,I know he’s a fictional character:p). Overall, it seems like “my type of book” and I’d love to own it. :)

I want to read Hush, Hush because I actually got a copy of Crescendo but feel I can’t read it until I have read Hush, Hush!!!
I haven’t read Hush, Hush yet, but can’t wait to! Not only is the premise exciting (love reading about angels, especially fallen ones, they add some dangerous excitement to the character and story), but the cover is gorgeous! I could put it up as a poster and just stare at it!
And after reading what controversies the novel brought up I’m even more curious and eager to read it!
