The Anthology HEXED

Hexed - AnthologyMichelle’s Ramblings may have beat me (I didn’t realize I was a contender for the race *grin*), but I am totally going to repost this fabulous cover Ilona Andrews has just shared for their upcoming anthology Hexed.  We’ll be able to get our hands on this June 2011.

Ilona Andrews has already mentioned what their story, Magic Dreams, is all about.  Oh yeah, it’s Jim and Dali’s story.  I’ve already seen a few snippets and I’m already eager to read it.

Yasmine Galenorn’s contribution will involve Iris, but that’s all I know.  I’m not sure if that she is from Galenorn’s Indigo Court or Otherworld series.  Update: Thanks to Incident for passing this along, Yasmine recently tweeted that her story will be called Ice Shards and focuses on Iris’s past, who happens to be from the Otherworld series.

Allyson James’ contribution, Double Hexed, will be a part of her Stormwalker series.  It’ll actually be considered book four – after Shadowwalker which comes out in June as well – and there’s already a blurb for Double Hexed:

It starts, innocently enough, with a leaky faucet. Janet calls her plumber, Fremont, to help fix a faucet in a guest room, when all hell breaks loose—literally. Blood sprays from the faucets and a message appears on the mirror in blood: “You are doomed.”

Janet and her friends find themselves locked in her hotel, victims of a hex that must have been cast by a very powerful sorcerer. Cassandra, Janet’s Wiccan hotel manager, believes the sorcerer is one she’s come to Magellan to hide from, and he’s one of the most powerful entities in the world.

As Janet and her friends frantically work to release the spell before the sorcerer kills them all, they realize that their worst enemies might just be themselves.

As for Jeanne Stein, I haven’t found any information on her contribution yet.

I love to read and easily go through about a dozen books a month – well I did before I had kids. Now, not so much. After my first son was born, I began to take my hobby of reviewing a little more serious and started Literary Escapism to help with my sanity. I love to discuss the fabulous novels I’ve read and meeting all the wonderful people in the book blogging community has been amazing.

  1. I normally never get anthologies because I hate having to pay full price when I only want to read one or two stories, but I want to read 3 out of the 4 here so I’ll be buying this one for sure. Ilona Andrews of course, but in addition I loved Allyson James’ Stormwalker (eagerly awaiting Firewalker in November), and I know and love Iris from the Otherworld series.

  2. Yasmine Galenorn made a comment about her addition to HEXED on Twitter not too long ago. Apart from the info you already have, the title, ICE SHARDS was revealed along with the fact that it revolves around what happened in Iris’ past.

    Her tweet.
