Price, Estep, Hush and NAC winners

Before we get to the winners for the Kalayna Price and Jennifer Estep visits, as well as the Hush, Hush giveaway and August NAC Mini Challenge, have you check out this weeks yet?

  1. Laura Stamps is giving away two sets of her Rune Witch trilogy. Contest ends October 12th.
  2. Angela from DFT is visiting and I’m giving away anywhere from 2 to 6 books. Contest ends October 21st.

Also, anyone who won something during the August Haitus or the Aguirre, Frost, James & BCC contests and haven’t contacted me yet…do so ASAP.  I’ve been going through my inbox and forwarding all the winners information forward.  Once I’m done, if I haven’t heard from that person, I’ll be drawing a new name.  So hurry and claim your prize if you haven’t already.

Kalayna Price

I had the talented Kalayna Price on Literary Escapism her fabulous cover for Grave Witch. While she was here, we gave a $10 Amazon gift-card to a lucky reader (who could possibly get Grave Witch with it?). In order to enter, everyone had to answer the question: How influential is cover art when you are browsing books? What draws you to cover? What are some of your favorite covers? Now, without further ado, the winner is:

VAN P. who said: Cover art doesn’t really influence me whether i pick up a book or not. What really matter is the synopsis, if it sounds good than i will buy it. As for favorite covers, the only thing that currently comes to mind is Rachel Vincent’s shifter series. I loveeee the latest/last book in the series, ALPHA.

Congratulations Van!

Jennifer Estep

Jennifer had a few questions to ask Jennifer Estep about her latest release, Venom. While she was here, we gave away a signed copy of Venom to a lucky reader. In order to enter, everyone had to answer the question: Who can you see playing Gin and/or Finn on film? Or simply ask Jennifer a question? Now, without further ado, the winner is:

LAUREL who said: I think that a good actress to be Gin would be Evangeline Lilly, thats the person I think of when I read the book.

Congratulations Laurel!

Hush Hush

The wonderful people at Simon & Schuster want to make sure people are ready for the release of Crescendo, which continues Nora and Patch’s story, and gave me two copies of Hush, Hush to give away. In order to enter, everyone had to answer the question: what are you looking forward to in Crescendo? Or…Why do you want to read Hush, Hush? Now, without further ado, the winner is:

Mariska who said: Why? Because it almost a year and i haven’t got any luck to win this book !!

EVA SB who said: Hush, Hush sounds like such a create story and who could resist a bad boy like Patch!

Congratulations Mariska and Eva!

NAC Mini-Challenge: the RT Board!

RT BoardIt may have taken me a month, but I had not forgotten that I still needed to announce the winner from the August NAC Mini-Challenge. For this challenge, the goal was to read from the variety of authors I ran into while at RT back in April.  Considering that happened to be 40 authors, that was a pretty good pool.  The incentive this time around is an 11×14 canvas board that I had all those authors signed.  Getting a chance at the board was fairly easy, you just had to read one author from the board.  Sadly, only three people participated this time around for a total of 6 reviews.

  1. Throuthehaze Reads – Carolyn Crane’s Mind Games
  2. Becky LeJeune – Zoe Archer’s The Undying Heart from Half Past Dead
  3. Jenn (I Read Good) – Kasey Mackenzie’s Red Hot Fury
  4. Jenn (I Read Good) – Carolyn Crane’s Mind Games
  5. Jenn (I Read Good) – Stacia Kane’s Unholy Ghosts
  6. Becky LeJeune – Jennifer Estep’s Spider’s Bite

Strangely, I have all of those books sitting on my desk.  So one of these lucky ladies will get to take home the snazzy signature board and that will be…Jenn (I Read Good). Congratulations Jenn!

Winners!

You have one week to send me an email at jackie AT literaryescapism DOT com, with the contest you won in the subject line, otherwise I’ll draw a new name when I post the current contest winners next weekend.

As always, I determined the winners by inputting all the entries into the List Randomizer, scrambling it up a couple of times, and then had the Research Randomizer pick a number.

About Jackie 3282 Articles
I am a 30-something SAHM with two adorable boys and a supportive husband who is very tolerant of my reading addiction. I love to read and easily go through about a dozen books a month – well I did before I had kids. Now, not so much. After my first son was born, I began to take my hobby of reviewing a little more serious and started Literary Escapism to help with my sanity. I love to discuss the fabulous novels I’ve read and meeting all the wonderful people in the book blogging community has been amazing.

  1. I totally fell down on the challenge this time around. I did have lots of the authors in my TBR stack, mostly follow ups to their firsts that I had already read, but August was just a bad reading month for me all around. I enjoy the challenges, though. I love that they expose me to so many great new authors!

  2. Hmm, did I miss a post on the winners from the contests in the latter half of September? There was Bayou Moon, Serpent’s Moon, Renegade Angel, and maybe some others, but they ended prior to the ones you announced in this post so now I’m totally confused. I try to keep track since I know I have to contact you if I’ve won.

  3. @Jen – The BBAW contests! Got it, I thought I was missing a couple but couldn’t put my finger on them. I’ll get those ones announced today. I’ll announce the winner of Bayou Moon at the same time.
