Numbers Challenge Wrap-up

So I finished my first reading challenge for the year. The Numbers Challenge was to read any five books that contain a number in the title, in any form, between the first of the year and June 1st. Three of the books could be used in other challenges, but I think I only had one that followed that rule – One Foot in the Grave. Anyway, here are the 5 books I read:

Three of these authors were new for me – Rowe, Carlyle, and Thompson – and I have to say that I enjoyed their novels. In my quest for new authors, these three were a good find. It was sad to hear of Ms. Thompson’s death earlier this year and that we’ll probably never get another novel from her (unless there’s a manuscript laying around somewhere), but I’m definitely going to check out the ones that are on the shelves.

I am a 30-something SAHM with two adorable boys and a supportive husband who is very tolerant of my reading addiction. I love to read and easily go through about a dozen books a month – well I did before I had kids. Now, not so much. After my first son was born, I began to take my hobby of reviewing a little more serious and started Literary Escapism to help with my sanity. I love to discuss the fabulous novels I’ve read and meeting all the wonderful people in the book blogging community has been amazing.

  1. There is a great Rhonda Thompson book ‘Confessions of a supermodel werewolf’ (I think that is right…) and I loved it so much. So off I went looking for the next part in the series and found her obituary. So sad!!
