Now on to the winners….

Laura Bickle

I had the talented Laura Bickle on Literary Escapism talking about magical places. While she was here, we gave away three copies of Sparks. In order to enter, everyone had to answer the question: What magical places in the real world have you written or read about? Are there some that inhabit larger amounts of real estate in your head than others, places that are absolutely unforgettable? Now, without further ado, the winner is:

MELANIE S who said: I love to read about Ireland and Scotland and I can’t wait for my visit there next year :) and like Pam I really enjoy KMM series and descriptions of Dublin…

Laura, thanks so much for your post – I’ve already read Embers and the world you created is both interesting and fascinating.

MEL S who said: I found some of the ruins of older civilazations to be particular magical in real life. I loved the Pryamids in Egypt and the Mayan ruins at Uxmal in Mexico – both had an atmosphere where you felt like anything could happen! I’m slightly obessed by both now and any books set in either place are automatic purchases! :)

SAVANNAH S who said: i would love to visit a bunch of places, some of the magical places ive read about are ancient egypt, ireland, and of course england, and new york believe it or not, or the fictional (i believe) place of Idris from the mortal instrument series

Congratulations Melanie, Mel and Savannah!

Nancy Holder

I had the talented Nancy Holder on Literary Escapism talking about whether the devil made him do it. While she was here, we gave away a copy of Crusade and a specially designed bookplate signed by both Debbie and Nancy. In order to enter, everyone had to answer the question: What has the devil made you do? Or simply ask Nancy a question. Now, without further ado, the winner is:

MELISSA G who said: Thank you for the post and the giveaway!

My brothers were convinced I was the devil as a kid. The devil made me release my brother’s fruit flies that he was studying for a college class. The devil made me pour cologne in my brother’s prized aquarium. The list could go on and on. It is a wonder that I am still alive to write this post!

Crusade is on my TBR list on Goodreads.

Congratulations Melissa G!

Erica Hayes

I had the talented Erica Hayes on Literary Escapism talking about talking about escaping into urban fantasy. While she was here, we gave away a copy of Poison Kissed. In order to enter, all anyone had to do was What do you prefer to read when you want to escape? A kick-ass UF heroine taking down the bad guys? Or a sexy paranormal romance where the heroine dates the bad guy?. Now, without further ado, the winner is:

JESSICA S who said: I pretty much prefer the kick ass heroine taking down the bad guy in a UF book. That’s not to say I don’t enjoy the occasional PR book, but I love UF more, besides who’s to say the kick ass UF heroine isn’t going to have a super hot man assisting her in some way, and compared to the villain this guy is usually smokin! ;)

Congratulations Jessica!

Amanda Rose

Tricia had the chance to interview the lovely Amanda Rose on Literary Escapism. While she was here, we gave away a copy of The Vessel. In order to enter, all anyone had to do was ask Amanda a question. Now, without further ado, the winner is:

JONNA E who said: Congratulations on being published. You’ve already got sequels planned out? How exciting!

Congratulations Jonna!

Tim Akers

I had the talented Tim Akers on Literary Escapism talking about The Value of Failure. While he was here, we gave away a signed copy of The Horns of Ruin. In order to enter, everyone had to answer the question: What magical places in the real world have you written or read about? Are there some that inhabit larger amounts of real estate in your head than others, places that are absolutely unforgettable? Now, without further ado, the winner is:

CIARA S who said: GREAT advice. “It was success or nothing, and anything less than absolute success at a young age was the same thing as failure.” Yes, that. That’s what I struggle with. Fear of failure. Eek!

I write about magic in Seattle–Thunderbird, Raven, Crow, Kivati, and the other Giant Animal People that used to inhabit this land, and their mortal enemies the Great Dragon. I’ve always been fascinated by Ireland’s rich tradition of myth and magic, and have read many books set there, including Karen Marie Moning’s Fever series. The whole British Isle, really. Recently, with all the Steampunk I’ve been reading, the most magical city in the world is London.

I’ve had my eye on the Veridon series for a while now. Horns of Ruin looks awesome. Beautiful cover!

Congratulations Ciara!

Winners!

You have one week to send me an email at jackie AT literaryescapism DOT com, with the contest you won in the subject line, otherwise I’ll draw a new name when I post the current contest winners next weekend.

As always, I determined the winners by inputting all the entries into the List Randomizer, scrambling it up a couple of times, and then had the Research Randomizer pick a number.

About Jackie 3282 Articles
I am a 30-something SAHM with two adorable boys and a supportive husband who is very tolerant of my reading addiction. I love to read and easily go through about a dozen books a month – well I did before I had kids. Now, not so much. After my first son was born, I began to take my hobby of reviewing a little more serious and started Literary Escapism to help with my sanity. I love to discuss the fabulous novels I’ve read and meeting all the wonderful people in the book blogging community has been amazing.
