Cyclone Nargis Contest

Ann Aguirre, author of Grimspace and Wanderlust, has graciously started a huge contest to benefit the victims of Cyclone Nargis in Myanmar.

Here’s the deal. You pick a charity and donate some money. I don’t care how much. Send me an email with a transaction number, showing that you gave to disaster relief (even just a buck), and I’ll enter you in a drawing for $200 worth of free books. (Note: the prize has gone up. Alessia Brio is adding $50 to the pot.

The relief support for the victims of this horrible natural disaster are in desperate need of donations. There are a bunch of different places you can donate, so it’s pretty much up to you where you want to go. I’ll even make it easy for you. Here is a list of private organizations that are currently working in Myanmar and helping to deal with the after effects of Cyclone Nargis.

Now you don’t have any excuses to make a donation. I’ve linked up each name to their donations site, so all you have to do is spend 2 minutes and click on a link. I’ve already made my donation to CARE, now it’s your turn.

Dear Jackie,

Thank you for your generous donation. Your gift to CARE will

About Jackie 3282 Articles
I am a 30-something SAHM with two adorable boys and a supportive husband who is very tolerant of my reading addiction. I love to read and easily go through about a dozen books a month – well I did before I had kids. Now, not so much. After my first son was born, I began to take my hobby of reviewing a little more serious and started Literary Escapism to help with my sanity. I love to discuss the fabulous novels I’ve read and meeting all the wonderful people in the book blogging community has been amazing.
