So at the beginning of the week, I told you about this weeks challenge for Weekly Geeks. Basically, it was to implement a new policy of including links to other reviews with each review I do. For example, I just did a review of Enchanted, Inc. by Shanna Swendson. If someone was to tell me that they have also reviewed this novel, then I would include a link to their review on my review post. Make sense? Well, I did check out some of the other challenge members websites to see if any of us matched up and of the 13 or so that I tried at the time I signed up, I think I only matched up with one other person. I have had a couple of people comment saying they have similar reviews, but they never left a link, and I after a cursory glance, couldn’t find their reviews on their sites.
As to whether I’ll keep the policy…I won’t get rid of it, but I probably won’t actively promote it as well. If I come across a review I’ve done as well, then I’ll add the link. However, I have a toddler at home and I really don’t have the time to go looking for links.
Aw, that’s too bad that they didn’t leave you links! Maybe they just forgot? It was nice of you to go looking, but I probably wouldn’t have bothered without links! I think it’s a great idea to keep the policy in place for when it’s convenient, but not actively promote it. I hope that works out well for you.
Oooh, I see in your sidebar that you read Gabaldon! Off to investigate…
