Interview:

The Falling MachineThere have been some fabulous covers popping up, especially for a few new steampunk novels coming out. For all the new covers, I’ve added them to the FB album.

I cannot be the only one who thinks this is freaky.  io9 is reporting of the world’s biggest Twilight back tattoo.  Seriously, this thing is huge and it’s still not done.  Pattinson shows up three times, Stewart twice and Launter only once – for now.

Mark Henry has some fantastic news. His Amanda Feral will soon be inked by the Dabel Brothers.  Road Trip of the Living Dead will be turned into a graphic novel by the same people who are doing Laurell K. Hamilton and Patricia Briggs’ series.  There’s not an anticipated release date yet, as they are on the search for artists.  However, it will be happening.  Yea!

There’s been a few additions to the New Releases page.  All of these have been added to the New Releases page.  For those interested, a printable version of the current New Releases page is still available. As always, if there is a novel missing from my list, then please add it here.

The Hugo Awards are coming up and I guess a way to get on the ballot is by doing some blogging promotion.  I guess I must’ve missed past years posts, and most of this years, but Jim C Hines has a great rundown of who is trying to get on this years ballot.  Seriously, check it out just for the post even if you’re unfamiliar with the Hugos. Although, I didn’t see Carrie Vaughn‘s post mentioned anywhere.  For those who are curious:

Renovation bannerThe Hugo Award is the leading award for excellence in the field of science fiction and fantasy. The Hugos are awarded each year by the World Science Fiction Society, at the World Science Fiction Convention (Worldcon).

The Awards themselves are presented in a public ceremony which is always one of the highlights of the Worldcon, and we expect Renovation to be no different. The Renovation ceremony will take place on Saturday, August 20, 2011 in the Tuscany Ballroom at the Peppermill Hotel.

The official web site of the Hugo Awards can be found at www.thehugoawards.org. This site includes a full history of the Hugo Awards, nominees and winners, information on the voting process, a photo gallery of past trophy designs, and much more

About Jackie 3282 Articles
I am a 30-something SAHM with two adorable boys and a supportive husband who is very tolerant of my reading addiction. I love to read and easily go through about a dozen books a month – well I did before I had kids. Now, not so much. After my first son was born, I began to take my hobby of reviewing a little more serious and started Literary Escapism to help with my sanity. I love to discuss the fabulous novels I’ve read and meeting all the wonderful people in the book blogging community has been amazing.
