Holzner & Hunter Winners

Before we get to the winners for the Nancy Holzner and Faith Hunter, I just wanted to give everyone a little heads up.  Literary Escapism celebrated 3 years in December and I haven’t really celebrated it yet.  I am planning something, but it won’t happen until February.  I have something big in mind, and I’m still working out how I want to do it, but expect something involving multiple prizes.

As a reminder, I determined the winners by inputting all the entries into the List Randomizer, scrambling it up a couple of times, and then had the Research Randomizer pick a number.

Now on to the winners….

Nancy Holzner

I had the fabulous Nancy Holzner on Literary Escapism talking about all those things “in-between”. While she was here, we gave away a copy of the Hellforged. In order to enter, all anyone had to do was answer: As we stand between the old year and the new, what are some of your favorite (or least favorite) in-between things? Or simply ask Nancy a question. Now, without further ado, the winner is:

MEL S. (from Mel’s Random Reviews) who said: My favourite in between thing – cookie dough – not yet cookies and no longer seperate ingredients! :-)

My least favourite inbetween time is returning from holiday – that travel from your vacation spot to home – are your still on holiday or not?

Congratulations Mel!

Faith Hunter

Tricia talked with Faith Hunter last week and while she was here, we gave away signed copies of her Jane Yellowrock and Thorn St. Croix series. In order to enter, all anyone had to do was answer: What do you enjoy most about the Jane Yellowrock series? . Now, without further ado, the winners are:

Jane Yellowrock – LESLEY D who said: I haven’t read the Jane Yellowrock series yet, so I can’t really answer the question. I did, however, read Ms. Hunter’s short story in Strange Brew which features Jane as a supporting character. Ever since then I’ve wanted to read the series because Jane seems like such an interesting person.

Thorn St. Croix – JENNIFER (from An Abundance of Books) who said: I love the Jane Yellowrock series. In fact, I’ve been reading the first two books over again so that I can review them in time for the Mercy Blade release. What I most enjoy about Jane: she’s tough and competent, but willing to ask for help/ be kind/ create a life. In short, she isn’t a bitch because it makes her tougher, she knows she can kick your butt and still be a nice person. At least that’s how I see her. I found her willingness to grow and make connections refreshing. I can’t wait for Mercy Blade to come out!

Congratulations Lesley and Jennifer!

I am a 30-something SAHM with two adorable boys and a supportive husband who is very tolerant of my reading addiction. I love to read and easily go through about a dozen books a month – well I did before I had kids. Now, not so much. After my first son was born, I began to take my hobby of reviewing a little more serious and started Literary Escapism to help with my sanity. I love to discuss the fabulous novels I’ve read and meeting all the wonderful people in the book blogging community has been amazing.
