Some sad news for all of us Riley fans…according to Keri, the publisher has pushed back the release date for Bound to Shadows.  Now it’ll be out Oct. 27, 2009, which is only two months after it’s original release date of Aug. 25th, so that’s not entirely bad.

Interviews:

JR Ward has finally updated her website and the Lover Avenged cover is up on her site and she has Excerpt 1 & Excerpt 2 of the novel up.  Woot!  Lover Avenged will be out April 28, 2009.

Joss Whedon is the new recipient of the Bradbury Award for excellence in screenwriting, as presented by Science Fiction and Fantasy Writers of America. Joss will receive his aware in April at the Nebula Awards.

Storm Glass by Maria Snyder has a new cover. There’s not too big of a change, you can see the person who is holding the orb now. It still looks fantastic to me and I can’t wait to get my hands on it when it comes out on April 24th.

CONTEST ALERT – There’s another Contest over at Nalini Singh’s blog (and will be for every day until Angels’ Blood releases in 13 days).  This time, she’s giving away a signed ARC of Red Fire by Deirdre Knight.

I’m not doing an alert for this contest, because if you haven’t seen it yet then where have you been?  Keri Arthur is giving away an ARC of Destiny Kills and the contest ends on Feb. 25th. Y’all have exactly one week left to get your entries in.  Mine was in a couple of weeks ago when the contest first went live….I can’t wait to hear who wins next week.

    RE: Lover Avenged – New Cover Item

    Question … I clicked on both your Lover Avenged links in this item, both took me to amazon. So is the new cover very similar to the old one, with a face now appearing along with the tatoo’d arm? I guess I was expecting a totally new cover.

    Thanks, I’ve been wondering what JR Ward was going to do about this … and when! Will prob. wait for LA in paperback, but ooh, I am rubbing myhands together in glee to read Rev’s story!

    • If you click on “lover avenged” it will take you to Amazon; however, if you click on Excerpt 1 & Except 2, it’ll take you to the two different excerpts.

      Yes the new cover is pretty much the same as the old one. The only differences I’ve caught: the tattoo is different and it’s a different model (you can see the difference in the chest and arms). From what I’ve seen online, you’re not the only one who was expecting a completely new cover.

      I’m with you though, I’ll wait for the paperback. I still haven’t read Lover Enshrined, so I’m not in too much of a hurry to get this one.

    Thanks. I have Lover Enshrined #6 yet TBR also. So much happened with secondary characters in #5 Lover Unbound that I want to reread that before Phury’s story.
