JL BryanI would like to welcome everyone to the latest stop in The Haunted E-book Tour by JL Bryan, celebrating the release of The Haunted Ebook.

Dee escapes her dreary librarian job and unfaithful boyfriend by reading romance and fantasy on her Kindle. She tries The Haunted E-book, the story of a 19th century tramp printer whose ghost awakens whenever someone reads a book he created. The ghost stalks his readers and threatens them with death if they stop reading the book. Though she doesn’t usually like ghost stories, Dee can’t stop herself from reading it. Then Dee learns the stories in the books are true, the malevolent ghost is real, and Dee might be the next character to die.

Make sure you stick around to the end. We’ll be giving away a pair of ebooks – The Haunted E-book and Dark Tomorrow – to one lucky reader.

Green Ghost Trappers, LLC
Your Eco-friendly Ghost Removal Service

Do you have banshees in your basement, apparitions in your attic, or revenants in your rumpus room? Does the spirit of your home’s brutally murdered former owner show up at inconvenient and embarrassing times?

Don’t call those guys with the unstable and environmentally toxic particle accelerator backpacks. They’ve been known to leave clients’ property demolished, if not entirely in flames, and that residual radiation is a major headache (possibly tumor-related).

Instead, call us – the Green Ghost Trappers. Our methods are certified organic and approved by Whole Ghost Journal. Instead of zapping your home or business with dangerous nuclear materials, we use a cruelty-free approach that combines incense, candles, crystals and Enya.

We don’t trap ghosts in painful particle streams, only to stuff them into a crowded, dirty industrial storage unit in the basement. Instead, with a combination of suggestion, cajoling and positive reinforcement, we ease your ghost into a convenient takeaway container, such as (???) crystals or an old-fashioned oil lamp.

From there, we take the ghosts to one of several designated haunted houses, where we release them like wild animals into a game park. The ghosts can haunt dim libraries full of moldering books, secret passageways, and even nice unlighted basement rooms, where they can spend eternity in the damp, cold darkness—a natural ghost habitat!

Thank you JL for taking the time to stop by Literary Escapism!

Contest Time! JL is giving away a pair of ebooks – The Haunted E-book and Dark Tomorrow – to one lucky reader. To enter, all you have to do is answer this one question: As a Ghost Remover, what would be your worst cast scenario? Remember, you must answer the question in order to be entered.

As always, there’s more ways of getting your name in the hat (remember, these aren’t mandatory to enter, just extra entries):

  • +1 for each place you post about today’s contest on your blog, social network, or anywhere you can. Digg it, stumble it, twit it, share it with the world. Wherever you share it, make sure you add a link to it along with your answer.
  • +1 to any review you comment on, however, comments must be meaningful. Just give me the title of the review and I’ll be able to figure it out from there.
  • +1 If you are a follower of Literary Escapism on Facebook and/or Twitter
  • +10 Purchase any of Ashlyn’s novels (listed above), or any novel, through LE’s Amazon store or the Book Depository sometime during this contest and send a copy of the receipt VIA email for your purchase to: jackie AT literaryescapism DOT com. Each purchase is worth ten entries.

The winner must post a review of the novel someplace. Whether it is on their own blog, Amazon, GoodReads, LibraryThing or wherever, it doesn’t matter. Just help get the word out.

The contest will stay open until March 15th, at which time I’ll determine the winner with help from the Research Randomizer and the List Randomizer.

I have not been contacting winners, so you will need to check back to see if you’ve won.

About Jackie 3282 Articles
I am a 30-something SAHM with two adorable boys and a supportive husband who is very tolerant of my reading addiction. I love to read and easily go through about a dozen books a month – well I did before I had kids. Now, not so much. After my first son was born, I began to take my hobby of reviewing a little more serious and started Literary Escapism to help with my sanity. I love to discuss the fabulous novels I’ve read and meeting all the wonderful people in the book blogging community has been amazing.

  1. Worst case scenario for ghost hunting? I’d have to say, it would be that I go to a house for a paranormal investigation, and somehow the spirit somehow kicks me out of my own body, and trades places, to then pretends to be me while acting out whatever it wanted to do, like revenge on their family, so I get framed for their murders, and I can’t do anything about it unless I find a psychic who can hear me and helps get me into my own body again. This must be a book already…

  2. I already have both books so I’m not entering the giveaway for them. I’ve been following J.L.’s tour and he keeps coming up with interesting posts.

  3. As a ghost remover, the worst case scenario would be that my equipment would start malfunctioning. Cause hey, being the 21st century, I don’t muddle with candles and symbols drawn on floors -they’re hell to wash off and that’s less profit, right?!- but instead I go for the high-tech.
But when that goes down, well, you’re screwed. Imagine you’re surrounded by evil spirits and not-so-nice-ghosts and your machinery refuses all work… You can’t really ask them to wait and go for a cuppa tea, right?
Apart from simply refusing all work, it can do anything but the right work. So instead of removing the ghost, it removes everything else…

Yeah, well, wouldn’t wanna be that guy.

    Great post, thank you!

  4. :) These little blogs always make me smile! Where do you find your inspiration? Thanks for another opportunity to win big!!

  5. My worst case would be accidentally falling in love with the ghost I was paid to remove and had to remove him from the world! Again this must be a book somewhere as well…:)

    FB Follower as well!

  6. It would be a poltergeist who tries to hurt people versus a friendly or neutral ghost.

Thanks for the blurb. I like all the detail (yet it’s short) it gives me on the storyline. Really makes me want to start reading it.

  7. Worst case would be getting a ghost that is bound and determined not to leave to the point that he can hop into any body close enough so that he can go undetermined at least for a while. That would be a tough spirit to handle!!

Your books all sound awesome and I look forward to adding them to my tbr pile!!! Thanks!

  8. Worst case, instead of cooperating and leaving the haunted area the ghost destoys it so they never have to go.

  9. My worst case scenario as ghost remover would be dealing with one of those no-way-in-hell-I’m-leaving-because-I’m-definitely-going-to-kill-you-first types. See, Poltergeist, Drag Me to Hell, Paranormal Activity and Paranormal Activity 2, and of course, The Ring. I guess there wouldn’t really be any of these movies without those types of ghosts, except for that one movie that we are not mentioning here.

  10. Whiny the gates to he’ll seems like a worst case senecio to me what a cool tour and book.

  11. As a Ghost Remover, what would be your worst cast scenario?

I would be worried that I would remove the ghost from one location, but instead of going into the equipment that captured it, it would attach to me and now be in MY house!!!
