Angels & Dragons

Check out the cover for the third Silver Dragon book, My and My Shadow, by Katie MacAlister! I like the purple.

If you’ve ever wanted to check out Mario Acevedo’s The Nymphos of Rocky Flats, you can now read it for free over at the Eos blog.  I’m not sure if it’s going to be up there indefinitely or for a limited time, so if you’re interested, I would go check it out.  He’s one of the authors I want to try this year, so I may have to bite the bullet and read it online.

Lauren Dane has an excerpt up for her second Federation novel, Relentless.  Ohh…I think I’m going to like the heroine.  I have to say, if you haven’t tried Lauren Dane yet, then you really should.  She seems to always pick me out of whatever non-bookish mood I find myself in.

Don’t forget…Angels’ Blood by Nalini Singh comes out March 3rd. Seriously, you need to check out this book. Singh is phenomenal and if you love her Psy-Changeling series, then you’ll eat this one up as well.

Vampire hunter Elena Deveraux knows she’s the best—but she doesn’t know if she’s good enough for this job. Hired by the dangerously beautiful Archangel Raphael, a being so lethal that no mortal wants his attention, only one thing is clear—failure is not an option…even if the task is impossible.

Because this time, it’s not a wayward vamp she has to track. It’s an archangel gone bad. The job will put Elena in the midst of a killing spree like no other…and pull her to the razor’s edge of passion. Even if the hunt doesn’t destroy her, succumbing to Raphael’s seductive touch just may. For when archangels play, mortals break…

Kmont over at Lurv a la Mode had her dreams crushed and I’m kind of surprised it happened. Well, I shouldn’t say crushed, but honestly, who would have thought that there would be a book out there about a wereunicorn. Seriously? It seems Ann Aguirre seems to recall seeing a book deal for one at Publisher’s Weekly. Of all the animals, why a unicorn? Has anyone else come across a wereanimal that made them ask why?

I am a 30-something SAHM with two adorable boys and a supportive husband who is very tolerant of my reading addiction. I love to read and easily go through about a dozen books a month – well I did before I had kids. Now, not so much. After my first son was born, I began to take my hobby of reviewing a little more serious and started Literary Escapism to help with my sanity. I love to discuss the fabulous novels I’ve read and meeting all the wonderful people in the book blogging community has been amazing.
