Contest Winners!

I know I’m super late in announcing some of these winners – my sincere apologies!  It’s been a rough couple of weeks with the sickly trio, but never fear, I have winners for you today.  However, before I get to them, has everyone seen the fabulous post by JL Bryan?  If not, I would check it out.  We’re giving away a pair of ebooks – The Haunted E-book and Dark Tomorrow – to one lucky reader.  Plus, just by commenting, you have the chance to win a Kindle with WiFi, or Kindle DX plus a Haunted Library of Ebooks during JL Bryan’s Haunted E-book Tour.

As a reminder, I determined the winners by inputting all the entries into the List Randomizer, scrambling it up a couple of times, and then had the Research Randomizer pick a number.

Now on to the winners….

Jennifer Rainey

I had the wonderful Jennifer Rainey on Literary Escapism talking about research in fantasy novels. While she was here, we gave away a copy of the These Hellish Happenings. In order to enter, all anyone had to do was answer: Do you prefer when an author totally makes up their own world or do you enjoy finding similarities between reality and the story?. Now, without further ado, the winner is:

JENM who said: I heard about this book awhile back on another blog, but at the time it was not available in ebook format. I remembered it though because it sounded like a fun read. I think I’ll download a sample and check it out. As for the question, I like it when there are some parallels to reality. It’s always fun to take reality and twist it just a little bit.

Congratulations JenM!

Ashlyn Chase

I had the wonderful Ashlyn Chase on Literary Escapism talking about shapeshifters with a difference. While she was here, we gave away two copies of the The Werewolf Upstairs. In order to enter, all anyone had to do was answer: . Now, without further ado, the winners are:

CHRISTINE who said: Hi Ash! How do I like my shifters? Well, I’ve never been a big fan of the man turned animal. A recent book did something different and I liked it. I think you read the book I’m about to mention. A voodoo priestess had put a spell on the hero and he changes into a zombie and he never knows when he’s going to change. I guess what I like is when I can see the shifter as more of a man than an animal or demon. Is their anything out there where the Shifter is something other than an animal? Maybe like a superhero. lol

HEATHER F who said: I like any type of shapeshifters. Light and funny or strong and dominant either way works for me and both together is even better. It’s more how the characters interact with each other and the conflicts that arise in the story.

Congratulations Christine and Heather!

Adrian Phoenix

I had the wonderful Adrian Phoenix on Literary Escapism, giving us a glimpse into her new novel, Etched in Bone. While she was here, we gave away a signed copy of Etched in Bone and a signed copy of either A Rush of Wings, In the Blood or Beneath the Skin – winners choice, to two winners. In order to enter, all anyone had to do was answer: How do you prefer your supernaturals? Angsty witches? Broody vampires? Domineering shapeshifters?. Now, without further ado, the winners are:

A signed copy of Etched in Bone: L FITZPATRICK who said: my fav by far are the…

(S)hifters!!!
(H)uman qualities
(I)nstincts of an animal
(F)urry, Fun and Frightening
(T)otally possessive with their mate
(E)nergy used to transform
(R)un wild and romantic at heart
(S)exual and seductive

A signed copy of either A Rush of Wings, In the Blood or Beneath the Skin – winners choice: BETHANY C who said: I hope I’m interpreting the question correctly and I didn’t miss something specific. I’m not real picky, so I think I just like my shifters, as well vamps, to be not of the uncontrollable monster variety that can’t help but go rampaging humans. I prefer that they’re able to function on a human level most of the time, and also have the preference that they retain their mental faculties while in animal form. That’s not to say I can’t enjoy when they’re not, I just seem to like that way better.

Congratulations LFitzpatrick and Bethany!

Birthday Celebration Contest

Literary Escapism celebrated three years during the Christmas season and I totally wanted to thank everyone for stopping by, listen to me ramble and generally just putting up with me. To thank everyone, I put together three fabulous prize packs, with the promise of up to three more novels depending on how many people entered. With over 50 unique entries, in addition to the 3 prize packs, I’ll also be giving away copies of Clay & Susan Griffith’s The Greyfriar and Meg Cabot’s Insatiable. In order to enter, all anyone had to do was tell me how you found LE. If you couldn’t remember, that’s all good. I was simply curious to see where I was getting some traffic from. Now, without further ado, the winners are:

About Jackie 3282 Articles
I am a 30-something SAHM with two adorable boys and a supportive husband who is very tolerant of my reading addiction. I love to read and easily go through about a dozen books a month – well I did before I had kids. Now, not so much. After my first son was born, I began to take my hobby of reviewing a little more serious and started Literary Escapism to help with my sanity. I love to discuss the fabulous novels I’ve read and meeting all the wonderful people in the book blogging community has been amazing.
