Look Who’s Going to RT: Eden Bradley aka Eve Berlin

Eden BradleyCan you introduce yourself to my readers a little?
I’m Eden Bradley aka Eve Berlin. I write contemporary, paranormal, futuristic and quite a bit of kinky erotic romance for several different publishers. I love that I have my hand in both print and e-books-each format has been a unique experience, and it makes my books available to so many readers. I’m obsessed with art, which shows up in my books fairly often. I also love shoes, lip gloss (yes, I’m a girly-girl), chocolate, younger men, and books, of course!

Can you introduce us to the world that you have created?
In my Midnight Playground series (The Seeking Kiss, Bloodsong, The Turning Kiss), there’s been a far-reaching economic collapse in Europe, followed by the fall of many governments. This has allowed the vampires to come out and play, and they’ve taken over the grand buildings all over the continent. The first four books in the series take place in London, where the Midnight Playground, my vampire sex club, is housed in Soho’s gorgeous Palace Theater.

My vampires are sensual creatures. They crave the extremes in everything: luxurious surroundings, extreme sex. But ultimately they’re all looking for love. And just like humans, it takes that one special and true connection to break through the walls we all put up, for one reason or another. Those humans who crave the gift of eternal life are a special breed, and they want that intense connection perhaps even more than the vampires. But in my latest book, The Turning Kiss (just out from Samhain), I throw a little twist at my characters…you’ll have to read to find out what it is!

Will this be your first RT or are you a veteran? Any advice for those who are going for the first time?
I’ve been to RT several times, and I always love it! My advice would be: bring comfy shoes, a sweater to fight the hotel A/C, and a small rolling bag to haul around all the books and goodies you’ll get. Don’t plan to make every panel you want to attend, or to get a lot of sleep. But do be ready to have a wonderful time!

Are you speaking on any panels during RT? Are there any you are looking forward to?
I’ll be participating in two panels: E-Publishing: Wooing the Masses, and Steampunk: Where Does He Get Those Wonderful Toys? Gadgets, Gizmos and Automatons.

My fellow Smutketeers (members of my group blog, R.G. Alexander, Karen Erickson, Crystal Jordan and Lilli Feisty) and I are putting together a special reader party-stay tuned to our blog for more info!

I’m hoping to make every event with Dean Koontz-he’s an amazing speaker. I’m also very interested in all the awesome steampunk panels on the schedule.

If someone were wanting to meet up with you at RT, who should they look for?
They should look for author R.G. Alexander – I don’t go far without her whenever possible. They should also look for steampunk costumes-if we’re not wearing them we’ll be hanging out with people who do. But the easiest way to find me this year will be at the Fairy Ball-I’m on the Fairy Court-very exciting!

I am a 30-something SAHM with two adorable boys and a supportive husband who is very tolerant of my reading addiction. I love to read and easily go through about a dozen books a month – well I did before I had kids. Now, not so much. After my first son was born, I began to take my hobby of reviewing a little more serious and started Literary Escapism to help with my sanity. I love to discuss the fabulous novels I’ve read and meeting all the wonderful people in the book blogging community has been amazing.
