Can you introduce yourself to my readers a little?
Erin Quinn (also known as Erin Grady) is an award winning author. Her books have been called “riveting,” “brilliantly plotted” and “beautifully written” and have won, placed or showed in the WILLA Award for Historical fiction, the Orange Rose, Golden Quill, Best Books, Book Buyers Best, and Award of Excellence. Book three in her Mists of Ireland series, Haunting Desire, will be in bookstores April 2011.
She lives in Arizona with her husband, two daughters and three dogs (all of whom have made debuts in her stories—the dogs, that is, not the husband and kids.)
Can you introduce us to the world that you have created?
The Mists of Ireland series (Haunting Beauty) takes readers to Ireland to meet the families MacGrath and Ballagh. For centuries these two families have been entwined in love, jealousy and the mysticism surrounding an ancient tome called the Book of Fennore. Will this be your first RT or are you a veteran? Any advice for those who are going for the first time?
I’ve only been to the conference once before and that was in 2006 so I’m really excited to be there this year. My only advice–prepare to have fun. This convention is unlike any other readers’ convention you will attend!
Are you speaking on any panels during RT? Are there any you are looking forward to?
You’ll find me at Club RT where I’m giving away a very cool prize that includes chocolates and a Brighton candy dish. I’ll also be at the book signing and everywhere else I can manage to be.
If someone were wanting to meet up with you at RT, who should they look for?
Definitely at the Club RT and the book signing! I’ll be the blonde with the big smile and hand out to greet you!
