Deathbed

I can’t remember what I had read or what was the inspiration behind this one, but it is definitely a paranormal.

Deathbed
He’s staked out
waiting for the sun.
He looks back at his life
and sees only good,
for what he has become.
Besides him, his wife
burns from the affect of fire.
While others say they are the devils,
they see themselves as cursed creatures.
For only God knows the path
of all his creations.
He sees the sun coming up,
and knows his time is up.
His wife, though long gone,
is still on his mind.
Though he misses her,
he’ll see her in the pit of hell.
For she was a witch
and he was a vampire.

I am a 30-something SAHM with two adorable boys and a supportive husband who is very tolerant of my reading addiction. I love to read and easily go through about a dozen books a month – well I did before I had kids. Now, not so much. After my first son was born, I began to take my hobby of reviewing a little more serious and started Literary Escapism to help with my sanity. I love to discuss the fabulous novels I’ve read and meeting all the wonderful people in the book blogging community has been amazing.
