Weekly Geeks #6 – Catch Up On Reviews Week

For the sixth week of Weekly Geeks, we were told to Catch Up on Reviews. However, I always write my review when I finish a book; otherwise, I may never write the review. Once I get into a new book, the old one can evaporate out of my head and if I tried to go back and write a review, then I really wouldn’t have much to say. Although, I did finish a couple of books this week, so I’ll include links to their reviews:

  1. Dreams Made Flesh by A. Bishop
  2. Twilight by Stephenie Meyer
  3. New Moon by Stephenie Meyer
  4. Eclipse by Stephenie Meyer

I have been told for months that I needed to read the Twilight series by Stephenie Meyer. I had bought the book last fall, but I ended up returning it for some reason without reading it. Yeah, that was a big mistake since I’m now going out and buying the books again. I’ve really been enjoying the series, but I am starting to get nervous about the movie coming out in December.

There is one thing that I did play catch up with. Packing. Our apartment lease is up at the end of the month and we’re getting ready to move. Hopefully into our new house, but we’re still waiting on the bank to give us an answer. Once we close, though, we want to be able to get right into the new house. Not that there’s anything wrong with our apartment (aside from the oh to occasional mouse), we’re both just really ready to have our own home. So this past weekend, our son was off visiting grandma and we went to town getting the apartment packed up. We’re now living in a sea of boxes, but at least we’ll be ready to move once we get the house.

I am a 30-something SAHM with two adorable boys and a supportive husband who is very tolerant of my reading addiction. I love to read and easily go through about a dozen books a month – well I did before I had kids. Now, not so much. After my first son was born, I began to take my hobby of reviewing a little more serious and started Literary Escapism to help with my sanity. I love to discuss the fabulous novels I’ve read and meeting all the wonderful people in the book blogging community has been amazing.
