BE: Sirantha Jax TONIGHT!

AAguirre-GrimspaceI’m not generally a fan of science fiction, sometimes the advance technology is just a bit too much, but there is nothing that will stop me from reading Ann Aguirre’s Grimpsace series. Whether it’s the amazing places she takes us to explore or watching one of the complicated relationships unfold, Aguirre not only weaves a fascinating tale, but it’s one that rarely lets me go until the end. The fifth book, Aftermath, just came out and I cannot wait to see what is in store for Jax and March. Are you looking forward to jumping into grimspace again? Seeing what kind of trouble Jax is getting into this time? If so, then join Larissa (from Larissa’s Bookish Life), SpazP (from Wicked Little Pixie) and I while we discuss this amazing series at Talk Shoe on September 4th at 9pm EST.

DEAD HEROES GET MONUMENTS. LIVE ONES GET TRIALS.

Sirantha Jax has the right genes—ones that enable her to “jump” faster-than-light ships through grimspace. But it’s also in her genetic makeup to go it alone. It’s a character trait that has gotten her into—and out of—hot water time and time again, but now she’s caused one of the most horrific events in military history…

During the war against murderous, flesh-eating aliens, Sirantha went AWOL and shifted grimspace beacons to keep the enemy from invading humanity’s homeworld. The cost of her actions: the destruction of modern interstellar travel—and the lives of six hundred Conglomerate soldiers.

Accused of dereliction of duty, desertion, mass murder, and high treason, Sirantha is on trial for her life. And only time will tell if she’s one of the Conglomerate’s greatest heroes—or most infamous criminals…

Warning: Aftermath was just released, so it will definitely be on everyone’s minds. We’ll try to keep spoilers to a minimum, but anything from the previous novels is totally game.

I am a 30-something SAHM with two adorable boys and a supportive husband who is very tolerant of my reading addiction. I love to read and easily go through about a dozen books a month – well I did before I had kids. Now, not so much. After my first son was born, I began to take my hobby of reviewing a little more serious and started Literary Escapism to help with my sanity. I love to discuss the fabulous novels I’ve read and meeting all the wonderful people in the book blogging community has been amazing.
