Too Many Books

The Futon Critic gives his opinion on True Blood.

J.R. Ward appears on Romance Novel TV on June 9th. She’ll be answering questions and giving away copies of Lover Enshrined to some lucky participants.

Midnight Brew is interviewing Jacquelyn Frank.

Robin Kavanagh of Blogcritics Magazine analyzes the Life and Loves of Anita Blake. The article is a little long, but after reading the first page, it seems like it’s going to be very interesting. If you guys want to know how well the event signing went with Laurell K Hamilton the other night, then you should check out Sail Away With Me….she gave such a better account than I did. According to LKH’s blog, there ended being over 300 people at the signing and she didn’t get done until 11pm that night. That means she was there signing books for 5 hours!! Now that is dedication to your fans.

Jeri Smith-Ready is talking with Simon Haynes, the British/Australian author of the Hal Spacejock series. The cover of his book is kind of amusing, so even though I’m not a fan of the space fantasy novels, this one looks like it might be a fun read. I tend to chose a lot of my books based on covers, so who knows what this one will be like.

Rachel Vincent has an interview at Lux.

Okay, seriously now, Jesse is going to be mad at me if I continue to add all of the books Bitten by Books makes me add to my TBR list. Rachel has been reviewing so many books that I’m so unfamiliar with, that I think I’m going to be in serious trouble since I just found a used bookstore near me. Today alone I bought three books – Sunshine by Robin McKinley, No Rest for the Witches (Anthology), and one other that I can’t think of right now. I almost picked up Witchling by Yasmine Galenorn, Sex and the Psychic Witch and Gone with the Witch both by Annette Blair. The latest offender is Vows of a Vampire by Ann Corey. I’m really going to have to go back through and add books to my list. I’ve seen so many over there that I haven’t always had time to add them. I should also mention that Amber hasn’t been much help either. Spectre by Phaedra Weldon was another one that caught my eye and she just reviewed that novel.

I am a 30-something SAHM with two adorable boys and a supportive husband who is very tolerant of my reading addiction. I love to read and easily go through about a dozen books a month – well I did before I had kids. Now, not so much. After my first son was born, I began to take my hobby of reviewing a little more serious and started Literary Escapism to help with my sanity. I love to discuss the fabulous novels I’ve read and meeting all the wonderful people in the book blogging community has been amazing.
