Tempt Me Saturday from Amberkatze

Recently I was looking at the weekend features and thinking they were a little too close to each other. I mean, Tempt Me Saturday and Sunday Surprise were the same thing except in different formats.  So I began of thinking of ways to change up Tempt Me Saturday and inspiration struck while I was updating the LE Guest list. Why not invite other bloggers to share their random finds?

So today, I unleash the revamping of Tempt Me Saturday with the new blogger edition.  Each Saturday I’ll start showing off three novels that one of my fellow bloggers have stumbled upon or just can’t wait to get their hands on. To start us off is the fabulous Amber from Amberkatze’s Book Blog and if you haven’t been by Amber’s site, then you really need to go. Right now she’s having a contest for a copy of Jesse Petersen’s Married With Zombies.

My wishlist is long and is ever growing! However like any wishlist there are items, or in this case, books, that you want more than the others. Here are the three I want the most from my wishlist…

Bloodstone by Nancy Holzner

Boston’s diverse South End is known for its architecture and great restaurants, not its body count. So when mutilated human corpses begin turning up in the area, the entire city takes notice. The killer—dubbed the South End Reaper—uses a curved blade for his grisly work. And even though there’s no real evidence pointing to a paranormal culprit, the deaths are straining the already-tense relations between Boston’s human and inhuman residents.

As the bodies pile up, Vicky, her formidable aunt Mab, and her werewolf boyfriend Kane investigate, only to find that the creature behind the carnage is after something much more than blood…

The Hour of Dust and Ashes by Kelly Gay

To save her sister, she must stop a silent killer. . . .

Protecting Atlanta from the off-world criminals of Underground is tough enough, but now Detective Charlie Madigan and her siren partner, Hank, learn that the addicts of the offworld drug ash have begun taking their own lives. Ash makes humans the perfect vessels for possession, and something or someone is leading them to their deaths. Charlie is desperate to save her addicted sister, Bryn, from a similar fate. As New Year’s Eve approaches and time runs out, Charlie makes a deadly bargain with an ancient race of beings and embarks on a dangerous journey into hellish Charbydon with Hank and the Revenant Rex to save Bryn and make it back before it’s too late. Only, for one of them, coming home means facing a fate worse than death. . . .

Texas Gothic by Rosemary Clement-Moore

Amy Goodnight’s family is far from normal. She comes from a line of witches, but tries her best to stay far outside the family business. Her summer gig? Ranch-sitting for her aunt with her wacky but beautiful sister. Only the Goodnight Ranch is even less normal than it normally is. Bodies are being discovered, a ghost is on the prowl, and everywhere she turns, the hot neighbor cowboy is in her face.

Side Note: If any bloggers would be interested in participating in the revamped Tempt Me Saturday featured, just send me a message. I would love to have you!

I am a 30-something SAHM with two adorable boys and a supportive husband who is very tolerant of my reading addiction. I love to read and easily go through about a dozen books a month – well I did before I had kids. Now, not so much. After my first son was born, I began to take my hobby of reviewing a little more serious and started Literary Escapism to help with my sanity. I love to discuss the fabulous novels I’ve read and meeting all the wonderful people in the book blogging community has been amazing.
