Tempt Me Saturday from The Book Vixen!

The Book VixenI was watching Ladder 49 the other day and it got me craving a good firefighter love story to read. I love me a good romance novel but I love me a good romance novel featuring sexy firefighters even more. So I went to Twitter for recommendations and here are the top picks I was told to read:

Flashpoint by Jill Shalvis (first in her American Heroes series)

Zach Thomas risks his life battling flames every day. But since sexy EMT Brooke O’Brian joined the crew, he can’t resist playing with fire. Brooke is feisty, a little uptight…and sexy as hell. And as Zach soon discovers, she’s definitely hot stuff between the sheets. Still, every firefighter knows that the hotter the blaze, the faster the action’s over….

After the whirlwind ride Zach’s been taking her on, Brooke is ready to do anything for this man–in and out of bed! But she knows footloose and fancy-free Zach doesn’t do commitment. So she plans to build up a five-alarm fire between them. The kind he won’t ever want to put out…

Chasing Fire by Nora Roberts

There’s little as thrilling as firefighting–at least to Rowan Tripp. The Missoula smoke jumpers are in Rowan’s blood: her father is a legend. She’s been fighting fires since her eighteenth birthday. At this point, returning to the wilds of Montana for the season feels like coming home–even with reminders of the partner she lost last season still lingering.

Fortunately, this year’s rookie crop is one of the strongest ever–and Gulliver Curry’s one of the best. He’s also a walking contradiction, a hotshot firefighter with a big vocabulary and a winter job at a kids’ arcade.

Everything is thrown off balance when a dark presence lashes out against Rowan, looking to blame someone for last year’s tragedy. Rowan knows she can’t complicate things with Gull–any distractions in the air or on the ground could mean the end–but if she doesn’t find someone she can lean on, she may not make it through the summer. . . .

White Heat by Jill Shalvis (first in her Firefighter series)

Bush pilot Lyndie Anderson lives only for her plane and the open sky. But when she’s hired to fly a brooding-but-gorgeous fireman to a forest fire, suddenly she’s struggling to douse a burning desire. And although it doesn’t show, Griffin Moore starts having feelings for her, too. But he’s suffered too much lately to open his heart. So when the two set off sparks, he wonders if Lyndie could be worth the risk…
