Contest: Chicagoland Vampires

CNeill-Drink DeepI am a complete idiot. After reading Drink Deep, I had all these questions I wanted to ask Chloe Neill. So as not to be a long story, she was suppose to be here for an interview today, but I totally goofed and didn’t get my questions sent to her. I still can’t believe yesterday was Halloween. Where did October go!?

Never fear – we are still going to celebrate Chloe Neil and finally seeing what happens with Merit and the gang after the events in Hard Bitten with the release of the shiny Drink Deep. You do realize Drink Deep is out today, right?

Clouds are brewing over Cadogan House, and Merit the vampire can’t tell if this is the darkness before the dawn, or the calm before the storm. With the city itself in turmoil over paranormals and the state threatening to pass a paranormal registration act, times have never been more precarious for the vampires. If only they could lay low for a bit…

Then magic rears its ugly head when Lake Michigan turns black. The mayor insists it’s nothing to worry about, but Merit knows a panic is coming. She’ll have to turn to friends old and new to find out who’s behind this, and stop them before it’s too late for both the vampires and humans.

Since I completely screwed up, we’re going to do a contest instead. I’m giving away not one novel, not two, but THREE novels by the amazing Chloe Neill! I have, in my hot little hands, copies of Hard Bitten and Hexbound (don’t forget, the third Dark Elite novel, Charmfall, comes out in January) wo would just love to go to a good home. I’m not stopping there. Maybe you’ve already read Hard Bitten and want to get your hands on Drink Deep (I mean, who doesn’t?) or you’ve been living in a cave without any electricity somewhere and haven’t even started the Chicagoland Vampires yet (Umm, we need to correct that). So I’m also giving away a Chicagoland Vampire novel of the winners choice (print or ebook). So there you have it – THREE fabulous novels by Chloe Neill up for grabs.

Giveaway Details

There is now an official giveaway policy, so if there’s any question, please consult that. However, all of LE’s contests have gotten simpler. All you have to do is answer this question: After the events of Hard Bitten, what are you afraid to see in Drink Deep? What are you looking forward to? If you haven’t read Hard Bitten (or the series), why not? Remember, you must answer the question in order to be entered. Unfortunately, I need to keep the shipping low right now, so the print copies are only open to US/Canada, HOWEVER the winners choice novel is open Internationally. So as not to cause problems later, please let me know if you’re stateside or across the big pond. Thank you!

Even though I’m not offering the additional entries any more, you can still help support the Chloe by sharing this contest on your blog, Twitter, Facebook, or anywhere you can. After all, the more people who are aware of this fabulous series ensures we’ll get more stories.

The winner must post a review of the novel someplace. Whether it is on their own blog, Amazon, GoodReads, LibraryThing or wherever, it doesn’t matter. Just help get the word out.

The contest will stay open until November 15th, at which time I’ll determine the winner with help from the snazzy plug-in I have.

I have not been contacting winners, so you will need to check back to see if you’ve won.

I am a 30-something SAHM with two adorable boys and a supportive husband who is very tolerant of my reading addiction. I love to read and easily go through about a dozen books a month – well I did before I had kids. Now, not so much. After my first son was born, I began to take my hobby of reviewing a little more serious and started Literary Escapism to help with my sanity. I love to discuss the fabulous novels I’ve read and meeting all the wonderful people in the book blogging community has been amazing.

  1. After Hard Bitten, I’m afraid to see how things get along without Ethan. I’m also afraid that he might not come back! I’m looking forward to more Mallory magic, and to see who owns those green eyes that aren’t Ethan’s. And I’ve read the whole CV series and love it! It’s ne if my favorites.
Just so you know, I live in the states.

    Happy reading!

  2. I still haven’t read this series (unfortunately) because I’ve been trying to track down a copy of Friday Night Bites for ages. Heard it’s one of the best, though, so I can’t wait until I finally get my turn. Then I have a feeling I’m going to plow through them all one after the other.

  3. I want to see what’s going to happen to Cadogan house without Ethan.
This is one of my favorite series.

    I live in the US

  4. I agree, that I fear what things will be like without Ethan as well. Although I did read some reviews that said he was there, but not there. You know? Still, gonna miss him!

    I live in the US.

  5. If Ethan doesn’t come back, I will be very sad. I know he’s not perfect, but I still can’t imagine the series without him. Can’t wait to read this! Thanks for the chance to win :)

  8. I’ve read the book happily thinking “THIS IS THE MOMENT” for ethan and merit, but it all shattered when ethan died, Imagine it, he DIED. I was completely Mourning for months wanting to forget the last 1/4 part of HARD BITTEN. And now Drink Deep is coming, and I would really really love a copy. I wish ethan would be there , alive again, but if not my bones are hoping he will even in the next books, im afraid another close character to merit will die or change into something bad. I’m also afraid of the jonah-merit tandem, I STILL LOVE MY DEARLY GREEN EYED MONSTER… :)

  9. I’m afraid to see how Merit gets along without Ethan. I hope he comes back. I also hope that Cadogan house is ok.

    I live in the US.

  10. I’ve heard so many good things about Chicagoland Vampires and didn’t want to start the series until Drink Deep got released. I heard that Hard Bitten ended in a major cliffhanger so I didn’t want to drive myself crazy waiting for Deep Deep! I’ve finished reading some really great urban fantasy series/PNR such as Kate Daniels, Fever Series, Night Huntress, and have been looking forward to a new series that I can add to my list of favorites. I’m really looking forward to reading the series and getting to know Merit and Ethan!

By the way, I’m in the U.S.

  11. Hi Jackie,
I have been in a rut. Its funny I saw because I just picked up the first book, to help me out of the rut. I read it when it first came out, but know how enticing this world is so I am jumping back in. I would love these so I could read the series together. Merit is bad-A**, love her style. I am more of a team Morgan (not sure if he is even still around) see, told you I was behind.

    From my cave to yours…
    Elie

  12. OMG! Note to self…..make lists of book release dates. I totally forgot about Hard Bitten and now I’m destroyed! Ethan’s dead? I’m mortified!!!!! I loved the first 3 books in this Series, now I must read 4 and 5 back to back! Heart-broken in the US, Tracy

  13. I’m afraid to see how Merit will cope without Ethan and how Mallory’s new powers will affect her relationship with Merit and Catcher.

    I’m in the US.

  14. I am afraid that the GM is going to take over; Malik is not enough to handle the house by himself. I am looking forward to reading more adventures of Merit and hopefully her friend Mallory will be in the story too.

  15. Chicagoland Vampires is one of my favorite series. After the events of Hard Bitten, I’m really afraid that what happened at the end of Hard Bitten was permanent and I won’t see Ethan again. I can’t wait to read Drink Deep to see what happens!

    I’m in the U.S.

  16. I haven’t been living in a cave but I’ve not read any of her books yet. But have added them to my wishlist since my son read her first YA book and loved it.

  17. ***It’s not too spoilery, but don’t read this if you haven’t read Hard Bitten***

I’m not usually a lover of big, crazy cliffhangers, but I thought the end of Hard Bitten was great; it really shook things up. I’m really looking forward to finding out what the heck is going on with Ethan in the next book.

  18. I love the books and can’t wait to see want happens with Merit and I want Ethan he has to be in this book! Thank you for the great giveaway and this is one of my favorite serie. I live in the Us

  19. I haven’t read Hard Bitten yet, it’s waiting in my huge TBR pile (though I’ve read the others). I absolutely love this series and can’t wait to see what happens to Merit and all of the other characters.

  20. I love this series and would love to get my hands on Drink Deep…
It would be a lovely early Christmas present to win it.

I love Merit and Ethan – and hope that there is some hope still for Ethan –wishful thinking–Maybe it could be a “shower scene” like the one on DALLAS series that year when they brought Bobby Ewings back.lol

  21. When I pick up Drink Deep, I am looking forward to finding out more about Ethan. I am not looking forward to the possibility of Merit moving on with Jonah. You are so nice to offer the chance to win the book!
