Black Friday Contest: Dark Curse by Christine Feehan

Black FridayWhat is a Black Friday without a few gifts and surprises? Christine Feehan wanted to be here, but due to deadlines (and we totally want more stories, right?), she was unable to participate. However, she’s sent along this fabulous beauty instead: Dark Curse. We are giving away 2 copies of Dark Curse and I know you want it. *grin*

CFeehan-Dark CurseLara Calladine is haunted by childhood memories of being held prisoner in an ice cave and kept sane by the whispered stories told to her by her imprisoned aunts. They instilled mage and Carpathian magic deep within her and then helped her escape. She has spent years searching for the cave in hopes of finding the answers to the riddle of her past as well as finding her aunts who may have given their lives saving her.

Nicolas De La Cruz has returned to the Carpathian Mountains–his homeland–on orders from his eldest brother, Zacarias, to bring news of a conspiracy to the prince of their people. He is weary of his long existence and plans to end it away from his brothers where they will be unable to stop him once he has fulfilled his duty.

Lara and Nicolas paths collide in an explosive adventure that rocks the Carpathian world.

Meet Christine Feehan!

I’ve been a writer all of my life — it is who I am. I write for myself and always have. The ability to create pictures and emotions with words is such a miracle to me. I read everything; I mean everything! All kinds of books, even encyclopedias. I am fascinated by the written word and I love storytellers. It is a great privilege to be counted one myself.

Contest Time!

Christine is giving away 2 copies of Dark Curse. To enter, all you have to do is answer this one question: What would you give someone who grew up in an ice cave or has lost interest in life? Remember, you must answer the question in order to be entered.

Even though I’m not giving the additional entries any more, you can still help support the author by sharing their article, and this contest, on your blog, Twitter, Facebook, or anywhere you can. After all, the more people who are aware of this fabulous author ensures we get more fabulous stories.

The winner must post a review of the novel someplace. Whether it is on their own blog, Amazon, GoodReads, LibraryThing or wherever, it doesn’t matter. Just help get the word out.

All Black Friday contests will remain open until December 31st at which time I’ll determine the winner with help from the snazzy new plug-in I have. Have you checked out the other Black Friday contests yet? Check out the Master List to see all the Black Friday giveaways

I have not been contacting winners, so you will need to check back to see if you’ve won.

About Jackie 3282 Articles
I am a 30-something SAHM with two adorable boys and a supportive husband who is very tolerant of my reading addiction. I love to read and easily go through about a dozen books a month – well I did before I had kids. Now, not so much. After my first son was born, I began to take my hobby of reviewing a little more serious and started Literary Escapism to help with my sanity. I love to discuss the fabulous novels I’ve read and meeting all the wonderful people in the book blogging community has been amazing.

  1. I would take them on a trip, or several trips so they can see different cultures, taste different food and take in the wonders of the world.

  2. I would send them on a cruise around the world, to see just how much there is to explore and enjoy.

  3. For the person in the ice cave I would give them a nice cozy winter outfit. For the one who has lost interest I would take them around and hopefully they will meet enough people and see enough to reinterest them.

  4. I would give the person in the ice cave a nice wood stove, a feather down comforter and a warm coat. For the person that has lost interest in life, I would see about them finding a new hobby. Something they would like to do. Maybe, they could then meet others who have the same interests.

  5. Assuming I can afford it, I’d give them a car with a sunroof. If they grew up in an ice cave I figure they’d appreciate being able to feel the sun as they drive around (on warm days, of course).

  6. Well, I hope they’re no longer living in an ice cave, that doesn’t seem too practical. But if they are, as much as I’d love to give them a space heater or central air for heating, I don’t want to melt their home so I’d get them a super warm fleece blanket.

  7. I would give them a warm colorful sweater and an I-pad so they can get a glimpse of the outside world :)

Thanks for the great giveaway and Happy Holidays!

  8. for the person in the cave, there is a down sleeping bag snowsuit with footies that you can wear
for the person who has lost interest in life, I would give my time and interest

  9. send the person who has lost interest in life, to live in the ice cave with the other person (and bring a heater) so they have some1 to talk tooo

  10. I would give them an iPad. After surfing the web they couldn’t help but have the spark of interest in the rest of the world ignited and the burning desire to participate in life outside the box (I mean cave).

  11. I would give them either a CD with confessions by children (what miracle has happened to them) or sign them up to volunteer with children. I’m sure they will give back their will to live and even make them smile for a bit :-)
