Black Friday Contest Winners (1 of 4)

Black FridayContest WinnersThere were 13 US/Canada and 14 International contests during December’s Black Friday event and I so can’t list them all at once. For one, it is going to take me a bit to figure out all the winners. For another, that would make for a really long post. So I’ll be doing them in four sections and this first section will be the first half of the US/Canada contests.

Now on to the winners….

Leanna Renee Hieber

Leanna Renee Hieber gave us the fabulous entry From the diary of Miss Natalie Stewart on Literary Escapism for our Black Friday celebration. While she was here, we gave away a copy of Darker Still. In order to enter, all anyone had to do was answer: If you were shopping for your dashing gentlemen in 1880, what would you get him? Now, without further ado, the winner is:

BARBARA E who said: If I were shopping for my dashing gentleman in 1880, I would probably get him something that would remind him of me whenever he used it, like an engraved pocket watch perhaps.

Congratulations Barbara!

Jane Kindred

Jane Kindred gave us the fabulous story Demons in the Marketplace on Literary Escapism for our Black Friday celebration. While she was here, we gave away a signed ARC of The Fallen Queen. In order to enter, all anyone had to do was answer: Are you a bargain shopper or a misanthropic hermit like me? Now, without further ado, the winner is:

TRACY M who said: I love the winter holidays: the twinkling lights in the darkness, the delicate baubles and glitter, the reverent religious services and songs, and the humans who act a little less like the traditional concept of demons for a few weeks—so long as you keep them out of shopping malls and department stores. Let’s not sully such a wonderful time of the year with a truly spectacular error in judgment.

Congratulations Tracy M!

Nancy Gideon

Nancy Gideon gave us the fabulous story Black Friday in my By Moonlight world . . . on Literary Escapism for our Black Friday celebration. While she was here, we gave away two copies of Hunter of Shadows. In order to enter, all anyone had to do was answer: Have you been involved in any close encounters while shopping? Did you have to fight for a particular item? Now, without further ado, the winner is:

CRYSTALGB who said: I have never fought over an item while shopping. I am too timid to do that.

JENN (from I Read Good) who said: Great story! I’ve never fought for anything in a store. I figure if someone wants something enough to fight for it, it’s better not to stand in their way. :)

Congratulations CrystalGB and jenn!

Diana Pharaoh Francis

Diana Pharaoh Francis gave us the fabulous story The Magic Apocalypse on Literary Escapism for our Black Friday celebration. While she was here, we gave away a copy of Bitter Night. In order to enter, all anyone had to do was answer: What do you think happens next? Now, without further ado, the winner is:

MELISSA who said: I agree with everyone else- this is always the point when there is an interruption that must be dealt with. Thank you for the snippet!

Congratulations Melissa!

Kate Douglas

Kate Douglas gave us the fabulous story involving Mac and Zianne on Literary Escapism for our Black Friday celebration. While she was here, we gave away a copy of Nightshift. In order to enter, all anyone had to do was answer: What’s your take on Black Friday? Do you brave the crowds? Now, without further ado, the winner is:

LISA KE4LLEY who said: Nope. I don’t do the Black Friday thing. I did it one time, and the “green around the gills” was ME. However, I did do Cyber Monday this year!

Congratulations Lisa Ke4lley!

Heart of Steel by Meljean Brook

Meljean Brook was unable to celebrate Black Friday with us, but in her place, she sent along a fabulous copy of Heart of Steel. In order to enter, all anyone had to do was answer: What kind of steampunk treasures would you like to find during your holiday shopping? Now, without further ado, the winner is:

JENM who said: I would love to win a copy of this book! I’m very partial to those cool goggles that people wear on the airships, maybe with a fun scarf to go with them.

Congratulations JenM!

Virtual Virgin by Carole Nelson Douglas

Carole Nelson Douglas was unable to celebrate Black Friday with us, but in her place, she sent along three fabulous copies of Virtual Virgin. In order to enter, all anyone had to do was answer: What would the perfect gift be for a paranormal/supernatural investigator? Now, without further ado, the winner is:

STEPHANIE who said: I would get a paranormal/supernatural investigator magic potions to help her with her work.

ALAINA who said: How about a magical trench coat with protection and magic pockets? Defense and plenty of room for weapons as well!

NA S who said: A supernatural first aid kit. Bandages that heal in minutes, pills don’t can be absorbed into the skin, a wattle battle that automatically replenishes itself and the likes :)

Congratulations Stephanie, Alaina and Na S!

About Jackie 3282 Articles
I am a 30-something SAHM with two adorable boys and a supportive husband who is very tolerant of my reading addiction. I love to read and easily go through about a dozen books a month – well I did before I had kids. Now, not so much. After my first son was born, I began to take my hobby of reviewing a little more serious and started Literary Escapism to help with my sanity. I love to discuss the fabulous novels I’ve read and meeting all the wonderful people in the book blogging community has been amazing.
