Black Friday Contest Winners (4 of 4)

Black FridayContest WinnersThere were 13 US/Canada and 13 International contests during December’s Black Friday event and I so can’t list them all at once. For one, it is going to take me a bit to figure out all the winners. For another, that would make for a really long post. So I’ll be doing them in four sections and this section section will be the first half of the International contests. The first half of the International winners were announced here.  The US/Canada winners were announced here and here.  However, the time has past for those winners to contact me and I’ll be drawing new names on Monday.

Joey W. Hill

Joey W. Hill gave us the fabulous story involving Jacob and Lyssa on Literary Escapism for our Black Friday celebration. While she was here, we gave away a copy of a Vampire Queen novel (winners choice). In order to enter, all anyone had to do was answer: Do you enjoy strolling through the malls and seeing all the holiday decorations? Now, without further ado, the winner is:

SHAZ who said: I love the festive feel that the large shopping malls put on,makes you want to get into the whole spending spree giving thing ,which of coarse is why they do it.Spread the love I say, after all it is Christmas. Loved the vignette Joey. Just finished BBVQ today so this little extra treat with Lyssa,Jacob and Kane was like the brandy custard on the Christmas pudding….Perfect

Congratulations Shaz!

Soul Screamers Volume 1 by Rachel Vincent

Rachel Vincent was unable to celebrate Black Friday with us, but in her place, she sent along three fabulous copies of Soul Screamers Volume 1. In order to enter, all anyone had to do was answer: Banshees are not your typical supernatural to be found; what other uncommon creatures have you found stories of? Can you recommend another series/novel that features a banshee? Now, without further ado, the winner is:

LADYVAMPIRE who said: Well Kim Harrison’s book White Witch, Black Curse has a banshee in it. And some other uncommon supernatural species I’ve found in books are the golems in DD Barant’s book series and the Tairen Soul’s in CL Wilson’s books.

Congratulations LadyVampire!

The Mortal Bone by Marjorie Liu

Marjorie Liu was here for Black Friday already, but she wanted to stop by again and we gave away three fabulous copies of The Mortal Bone. In order to enter, all anyone had to do was answer: Maxine’s demons, who are former Reaper Kings, vs the Black Friday crowds – who would win and why? Now, without further ado, the winner is:

HEATHER A who said: Maxine’s demons would win hands down. Nothing can keep those little fellas from something they want, especially if they are hungry.

MITCH who said: The Boys. All of you answering with Black Friday Crowds have obviously not read the previous books in the series, or there would be no doubt in your minds. Zee and company would kill and eat everyone. The only thing stopping them is daylight.

BLACKROZE37 who said: Black Friday. Geez, thats why I didn’t go shopping, I didn’t want to commit a felony charge or have 1 committed against me

Congratulations Heather A, Mitch and blackroze37!

Touch of Power by Maria Snyder

Maria Snyder was unable to celebrate Black Friday with us, but in her place, she sent along a copy of Touch of Power. In order to enter, all anyone had to do was answer: What should Avry receive for Christmas to prepare her for her unexpected journey through the Nine Mountains, which will include mercenaries and magical dangers. Now, without further ado, the winner is:

JESSY who said: I would give her a super cool machete. Kinda like Leif’s!

Congratulations Jessy!!

Claimed by Pleasure & Zombies Sold Separately

Cheyenne McCray/Jaymie Holland was unable to celebrate Black Friday with us, but in her place, she sent along a copy of Zombies Sold Separately and Claimed by Pleasure. In order to enter, all anyone had to do was answer: You’re playing secret santa and your friend wants a book by an author they haven’t read before, what would you get them? Now, without further ado, the winner is:

Zombies Sold Separately – CAITLIN who said: I’d get her Claimed by Shadow by Karen Chance

Claimed by PleasureKRISTIN who said: This is too hard because there are so many books I like and there are a bunch of genres I could choose from! But if I can pick only one, I have to go with Nightlife by Rob Thurman since this is one of my favorite series.

Congratulations Caitlin and Kristin!!

Magic on the Line by Devon Monk

Devon Monk was unable to celebrate Black Friday with us, but in her place, she sent along a copy of Magic on the Line. In order to enter, all anyone had to do was answer: Today’s the last day of Black Friday, which means tomorrow is Christmas – are you hoping to find any books under the tree? Which ones? Now, without further ado, the winner is:

SARA M who said: I got more books than I know what to do with. If I wasn’t so OCD about the condition of my books and they were all in print (over half were e-books), I’d roll around on the floor with them. Or build a fort. Lol. I got a wide variety of titles, but a few I’m excited for the most are Legend by Marie Lu, Blood of Eden by Tami Dane, and Prince of Air and Darkness by Jenna Black. I’ve also read two of my Christmas books already and both were 5 Star reads: Coyote’s Creed by Vaughn M. Demont and Beauty Dates the Beast by Jessica Sim

Congratulations Sara M!!

I am a 30-something SAHM with two adorable boys and a supportive husband who is very tolerant of my reading addiction. I love to read and easily go through about a dozen books a month – well I did before I had kids. Now, not so much. After my first son was born, I began to take my hobby of reviewing a little more serious and started Literary Escapism to help with my sanity. I love to discuss the fabulous novels I’ve read and meeting all the wonderful people in the book blogging community has been amazing.
