I’ve never heard of the Ultimate Vamplist, but thanks to SciFiGuy, I now have. Seriously, this thing is amazing. This thing is a HUGE list of vampire novels in all categories and I have to give kudos to Michele Hauf for pulling this thing together. And speaking of titles you haven’t heard of (because I’m sure you’ll find one there that you haven’t), Michele is having a contest for new titles to add to the Vamplist. Check out her site for more details, but the prize is a surprise at the moment. Michele is going through her stacks to see what she has to give away.
Sad news in the SF&F world – JG Ballard (76) passed away on Sunday. Ballard was the author behind such classics as Crash and Empire of the Sun, both of which were turned into movies. I’ll be honest, I’ve never read anything by JG Ballard, so I really don’t know his style all that well, but head over to SciFiGuy for a pretty good in memoriam.
