Look Who’s Going to RT: Angela Knight

Angela KnightCan you introduce yourself to my readers a little?
I’m Angela Knight, New York Times bestselling paranormal romance novelist. I’m the author of the 9-book Mageverse series, featuring King Arthur and the Vampire Knights of the Round Table. (And their ladies, witches.) I just turned in the last book of the series, which will conclude with MASTER OF DARKNESS. I am currently at work on ENFORCER, a 50,000-word short novel that will finish off the TIME HUNTERS trilogy. It will appear in an anthology featuring Marjorie Liu among others.

Can you introduce us to the world that you have created?
The idea behind the MAGEVERSE is a what if question: What if the Knights of the Round Table were vampires who are alive to this day, working to protect humanity from itself? In MASTER OF DARKNESS, my knights are working to defeat a psychotic werewolf wizard who is attempting to murder both Arthur and his knights, as well as his own daughter, Miranda Drake, who is also a werewolf and a witch. Her hero is William Justice, an ex-cop werewolf (are you seeing a pattern here? LOL!)

Will this be your first RT or are you a veteran? Any advice for those who are going for the first time?
Oh, I’ve been attending RT since 2004. I love it!

Are you speaking on any panels during RT? Are there any you are looking forward to?
Yes, I’m going to be on Ain’t yo Mama’s Vampire, on which I am Captain, as well as another one, which I can’t remember the name of, and can’t look up because the website won’t LET me. GRRR.

If someone were wanting to meet up with you at RT, who should they look for?
Tall woman, even TALLER bald-headed, good looking man with a gray goatee. People tell me they always look for Mike when they’re looking for me, because they know I’m usually within a yard or so from him.

I am a 30-something SAHM with two adorable boys and a supportive husband who is very tolerant of my reading addiction. I love to read and easily go through about a dozen books a month – well I did before I had kids. Now, not so much. After my first son was born, I began to take my hobby of reviewing a little more serious and started Literary Escapism to help with my sanity. I love to discuss the fabulous novels I’ve read and meeting all the wonderful people in the book blogging community has been amazing.
