Undead and Uneasy by MJ Davidson

Undead and Uneasy is the latest installment in the Betsy Taylor series by MaryJanice Davidson. While I’m a big fan of this series, I have to say I wasn’t that crazy about this contribution. It just seemed like the main character, Betsy, did more complaining and there wasn’t that much action. Maybe I’m moving more away from the romance genre into the fantasy/science fiction genre than I thought, but this novel was really light reading. Let’s put it this way, I picked it up from the library this morning (around noon) and I’ve already finished it (about 10pm) even while taking care of Ian this morning. Light reading. Don’t get me wrong, I still like the series, but every series has one book that is iffy and I think this one is it.

I am a 30-something SAHM with two adorable boys and a supportive husband who is very tolerant of my reading addiction. I love to read and easily go through about a dozen books a month – well I did before I had kids. Now, not so much. After my first son was born, I began to take my hobby of reviewing a little more serious and started Literary Escapism to help with my sanity. I love to discuss the fabulous novels I’ve read and meeting all the wonderful people in the book blogging community has been amazing.
