Guest Author: Angie Fox

Angie FoxI am excited to welcome author Angie Fox, who has just released the first novel in her new Monster Mash series, Immortally Yours.

IN THE WAR BETWEEN THE GODS…
No one patches up the incoming wounded like Dr. Petra Robichaud. Recruited by the gods for her uncanny medical skills, she’s the best M*A*S*H surgeon in the army. Along with a nosy guard sphinx, vegetarian werewolf, and other paranormal paramedics, she bandages soldiers who are built like Greek gods (literally.) But when one sexy immortal ends up on her operating table—half dead and totally to-die-for—Petra’s afraid she’ll lose her patient and her heart…

NOTHING IS MORE DANGEROUS THAN LOVE
Commander Galen of Delphi is one gorgeous but stubborn demi-god. When his spirit tries to slip out of his fatally wounded body, Dr. Petra has to slip it back in—unwittingly revealing her ability to see ghosts. Now that Galen knows her secret, he’s convinced she’s part of an ancient prophesy. If the oracles are right, Petra could lead Galen’s army to peace. And if he seduces her on the way to hell and back? Heaven knows—all’s fair in love and war…

Make sure you stick around to the end. We’ll be giving away a signed copy of Immortally Yours.

Yeti Style Shocker! Blames Global Warming for Receding Hairline

RED DEVIL, ALASKA— The baseball cap should have been our first clue.

The Yeti, also known as Meh-Teh in Tibetian and the Abominable Snowman, has been spotted around town in toppers from both the Anchorage Bucs and the Seattle Mariners. A close friend confirms that the new look has less to do with a sudden love of baseball and more with the fact that he’s showing a little more forehead than ever before.

“He’s been noticing a lot more hair in the sink lately. And he’s been trying to comb it differently, but it’s really not doing the trick. I think the next step is probably a Caesar cut, or maybe some Rogaine, but you didn’t hear it from me,” says our source.

The “wild man of the snows” has been around since before the 19th century, so it may simply be that he’s feeling his age, although friends say he’s more prone to blame environmental factors to his fading follicles and stress than the ravages of time. They say the baseball cap is just one attempt to recapture his youth and the glory days when he reigned supreme over the frozen tundras of Tibet. “If it becomes an all-over problem, you know, he’s going to have to do something drastic. But a full-body weave is expensive, so he’s going to put that off as long as he can.”

Okay, so why am I on here talking about yetis with hair loss issues? It’s all part of the launch of Immortally Yours, the first book in the new Monster MASH series. The books take place in and around a paranormal MASH unit during a seemingly endless war.

The heroine and her colleagues at the MASH 3063rd have been drafted until the end of the conflict, which is bad for her but even worse for people like her vampire roommate, Marius. They’re living in this quirky, ad-hock camp, trying to make the best of it while they work long hours in the OR, putting soldiers back together – knowing that they’re probably going to see these injured heroes again and again – if they’re lucky.

I wanted to give readers a taste of the series. So I set up a special website for PNN (The Paranormal News Network), which is the news outlet covering the war. Now PNN does do exceptional war coverage. But then they like to stray into the more sensational news as well. Hence, the yeti.

But, hey, when it’s the only news station in town (it is) and you have only one television in camp (the beat up, 1970’s cabinet model in the mess hall), you take what you can get.

For me, PNN is a fun way to give everyone a taste of the kind of world I’ve created in my new series. To celebrate, I’m giving away a copy of Immortally Yours right now. Just check out www.PNN-Network.com and post the title of your favorite article below.
