Kim Harrison has released her short story, Pet Shop Boys, for $.99 as an ebook, which will also be in Harrison’s upcoming collection, Into the Woods, which comes out October 9th.
From bestselling author Kim Harrison comes this original short story (to be featured in her anthology Into the Woods, October 2012) where things are most definitely not as they seem. A pet shop employee’s innocent date with a customer quickly turns disturbing rather than delightful. She and her family hold a centuries-old secret, and they want him to stay with them forever . . .
Lauren Dane has posted a snippet from her new release, Once and Again. Dane has also posted a snippet from her latest Bound by Magick novel, Chaos Burning.
Shiloh Walker has posted a snippet from her upcoming release, Stolen, which will be out October 20th. Walker has also posted the prologue to her next Grimm Circle novel, Blind Destiny, which will be out in October.

The Hugo Awards were recently held at Chicon 7, the 70th World Science Fiction Convention, and I have to say I actually recognize a few of the names on the list. Neil Gaiman won Best Dramatic (Short) Presentation for Dr Who’s The Doctor’s Wife (that episode was awesome! I love Sexy. LOL); was there any doubt that Game of Thrones would win Best Dramatic (Long) Presentation; Jim C. Hines won for Best Fan Writer; and Seanan McGuire won for Best Fancast. To all the winners of The Hugo Awards, congratulations from LE!
I was not aware of a new Hansel and Gretel movie coming out. According to Blastr, it may come out in January 2013, but since it’s already been pushed back once, who knows. HOWEVER, it looks freaking awesome. Jeremy Renner looks especially badass too.
Have you read any of the Fifty Shades books? Do you want to or are you simply curious to see what they’re about? I’m simply curious, so I’ve been reading the cliff notes version, fabulously provided Jennifer Armintrout. She’s currently on the tenth chapter of Fifty Shades Darker, but if you’ve missed any, you can find all the previous chapters here.
Okay, I have to be honest…I’m ind of getting excited for the last Twilight movie, Breaking Dawn Part 2. Especially after watching the new trailer. The Cullens are going to fight the Volturi!
