Witch Fury by A. Bast

The stunning conclusion to Anya Bast’s Elemental Witch series, Witch Fury is just as wonderful as the rest of the series.

Sarafina Connell is having the worst week of her life. It takes an even darker turn when an infamous playboy kidnaps her and reveals a world she never knew existed….

It’s a world where magick is real, and where Sarafina is given a chance to join a secret cabal that is bent on gaining absolute power. They could use a woman like her—a witch with an untapped gift for creating fire. But she isn’t about to get in league with the devil.

Rescued from her captors, Sarafina is introduced to a coven that is duty-bound to fight the forces of darkness. She’s pleased that her savior is the imposingly seductive Theo—until the trust between them goes up in flames. However, as the war between good and evil is waged, Sarafina and Theo realize they have no choice but to unite in the battle for supremacy—that’s getting hotter by the minute.

Have you ever had to write a review for a novel that was a great addition to a series but have no idea where to start?  I’ve had this review for Witch Fury open for several days now and I can’t think of what to say. I’m not sure if this is a good thing or not.  I mean, the story was good and it kept my attention, but I’ll admit that it wasn’t exactly hard to put down.

We finally get more information on the infamously quiet Theo and he gets paired up with a fire witch that doesn’t know she’s a witch.  The tension between Sarafina and Theo worked well with their personalities and it was kind of amusing the way the two of them met.  The action finally comes to a conclusion and we get to see some brillant moves from both the Coven and the Duskoff.  The action moves along well and there’s never really a time where the story lags.

Overall, I really enjoyed Witch Fury and I wish it wasn’t the end of the Elemental Witch series.  Everything was wrapped up nicely (maybe too nicely?) and everyone ended up with their happy endings.  Well, sorta.  During the ultimate battle, something does occur to our favorite researcher, Micah, and while there is a hint to his HEA, we don’t know if he for sure gets it.  However, for those who want more of Micah and the other witches, Anya has posted a free story called Micah’s Magick at her website.  I haven’t had a chance to read it yet, but I know I’m going to feel the need for more witches and I’ll be heading that way for sure.
