Hot Ticket by Olivia Cunning

Hot Ticket by Olivia CunningAfter the release of Double Time, I was a bit weary of having to go back and read the next 2 books in Olivia Cunning’s Sinners on Tour series that are still scheduled to be released.  Not because they are bad books but because originally Double Time was scheduled to be the final book in the series and for some reason the publisher moved up that release.  I thought (and still think it’s a hugely bad decision…but c’est la vie) that this decision would take something away from the final 2 novels.  I’m at least glad to say that I was wrong on that account…Hot Ticket was fabulous and I’m so glad I went ahead and read it.  Once again, Ms. Cunning enthralled me with her great writing about a super sexy rock star.

Fourth in Olivia Cunning’s hard-rockin’ erotic romance series, Hot Ticket delves into the oh-so-skilled sensuality of Sinners’ enigmatic bass guitarist, Jace Seymore.

When Jace walked through the doors of Aggie’s dungeon, the last thing he expected was to find self-forgiveness and the love of a remarkable woman. But when a terrible accident sidelines Jace during the band’s tour, the burdensome chains of his past wrap ferociously around his heart. Determined to crack through Jace’s armored shell, Aggie must go beyond her usual methods to mend his heart to love again.

Ohh…Jace.  He is probably the second most tormented Sinner…just behind Trey.  Jace is our resident BDSM boy…and I’m pretty sure his fetish started as way to deal with his past.  Jace is the quiet one of the group and struggles to feel like he fits in.  I think he’s positively adorable because of that quiet but “I’ll still kick your ass if you look at me wrong” persona. Cause lets face it, if you recall from Sed’s book, when Jace sees his friends getting into a fight, he doesn’t think twice, he just dives right on in.  I don’t think he’d recklessly get into fights or cause trouble but he will do anything for those he cares about.  And he proves it big time when he does something to protect Aggie.

Oh Aggie…she is too darn funny.  She really has little to no filter. I adored her.  She reminded me of well…me…or at least the me I wish I could be (minus the whole Dominatrix thing….THAT is something I couldn’t pull off).  Dude…she makes her own corsets! She just rocks all the way around.

Sinners on Tour fans can expect the same great writing as in previous novels.  It’s fast paced and very easy to read.  The humor and wit is there as well.  If you haven’t read Sed’s book (Rock Hard), you may want to do so.  The beginning of Hot Ticket flashes over into things that happen in Sed’s book and while you won’t be overly confused, having a bit of backstory on what is going on could be helpful.

Again, it was clear that the publisher really did a major faux pas by releasing Double Time first but Jace’s story is still one you must go read.  I can guarantee that you’ll enjoy Hot Ticket.  Jace I think has quickly become my favorite Sinner…which says something since I previously was a huge Brian fan.

I have 2 dogs, both Labrador retriever mixed breeds, who are very rotten and think they run the house. Let's not lie, they totally do, I just can't them know it ha ha! My usual genre is romance or urban fantasy. I love all things having to do with paranormal, with the occasional good contemp/BDSM/erotica thrown in to spice it all up.
