I wanted to apologize to everyone for not getting a news post up yet this month. I’ve attempted to sit down twice and organize a news post, but every time I do, one of the boys decides it’s “let’s cling to mama time”. I’ve been dealing with it all month, hence the reason the latest Escapist Newsletter was late to get up.
Thankfully, I’ve figured out what I need to do – run and hide in Panera for hours on end. *grin* I’ve already done it twice and I love how much work I can get done when I’m not constantly interrupted.
So the short answer is, I’m not going to get the chance to put up a news post before Monday. I’m currently finalizing everything with Black Friday (which starts in 3 days!) and the Child’s Play donation (being sent out tomorrow), so things are happening in the background. Plus the upcoming holiday is going to kill any chance I might have.
But that doesn’t mean I can’t give you a little something, right? Check out what Jeaniene Frost has posted! It’s the cover, stepback and blurb for Twice Tempted, the second Night Prince novel coming in February.
Dating the prince of darkness has its challenges.
Leila’s psychic abilities have been failing her,and now she isn’t sure what the future holds. If that weren’t enough, her lover Vlad has been acting distant. Though Leila is a mere mortal, she’s also a modern woman who refuses to accept the cold shoulder treatment forever–especially from the darkly handsome vampire who still won’t admit that he loves her.
Like choosing between eternal love and a loveless eternity.
Soon circumstances send Leila back to the carnival circuit, where tragedy strikes. And when she finds herself in the crosshairs of a killer who may be closer than she realizes, Leila must decide who to trust–the fiery vampire who arouses her passions like no other, or the tortured knight who longs to be more than a friend? With danger stalking her every step of the way, all it takes is one wrong move to damn her for eternity . . .
I have been posting even more covers over at the New Covers in November 2012 album on Facebook and have several more to post this weekend. So if you’re looking for even more shiny new covers, the Nov 2012 album would be a good place to start. *grin*
On a separate topic…so what has everyone been reading? I’ve been re-reading Patricia Briggs’ Mercedes Thompson series and man I’m still in love. I’m currently 60% of the way through Iron Kissed and I so can’t wait for Frost Burned to come out in March.
