Resurfacing After Ash and BD

I have so been slacking on the news lately, but I totally blame Breaking Dawn (S. Meyer) and Acheron (S. Kenyon) for the delay. I read both of those books back to back and I was sucked in by the second one and painting during the first one. Anyway, on to the news….

Anya Bast has about a 1000 postcards for Witch Heart and The Chosen Sin sitting in her living room at the moment and she’s giving them away for free. All you have to do is send her your snail mail info and she’ll pop one in the mail for you.

Jeri Smith-Ready has an interview with Victoria Dahl, author of To Tempt a Scotsman and A Rake’s Guide to Pleasure. There is also a contest for a copy of A Rake’s Guide to Pleasure, but you have to leave a comment by midnight tonight, so you better get a move on.

Fear has an interview with Taylor Lautner (Jacob) and Edi Gathegi (Laurent), from the Twilight movie.

I love the Rock, so I have to post the interview Movies Online did with Dwayne Johnson, aka The Rock, and Carla Gugino for the Race to Witch Mountain movie.

Ilona Andrews has completely redone their site and it looks shiny. Make sure you check it out. There’s even an excerpt for the third Kate Daniel novel, Magic Strikes.

Mark Henry is having a giveaway a $20 Amazon giftcard in tribute to the release of a few of his fellow authors’ novels.

For all you comic fans out there, Dabel Brothers Productions announced two new comic projects that will appear in 2009. Sherrilyn Kenyon’s Night Pleasures and Night Embrace will be in a manga-style adaptation and Patricia Brigg’s Mercedes Thompson series will focus on Mercedes fresh out of college when she’s offered a job as a mechanic. . . by a nine-year-old boy. Both comics have been in the works for awhile and we’ve seen some updates via the authors’ websites; however, this is the first official release I’ve seen via Dabel Brothers. For those of you who have been going to the Kenyon signings (or will be), she’s giving away copies of this poster to those first in line (and raffling off the last 5).

I am a 30-something SAHM with two adorable boys and a supportive husband who is very tolerant of my reading addiction. I love to read and easily go through about a dozen books a month – well I did before I had kids. Now, not so much. After my first son was born, I began to take my hobby of reviewing a little more serious and started Literary Escapism to help with my sanity. I love to discuss the fabulous novels I’ve read and meeting all the wonderful people in the book blogging community has been amazing.
