Burton’s Alice in Wonderland

Does this not look freaking fabulous!?  There’s a release date of March 2010 and I so can’t wait for it.  The Guardian had this sneak peek for it:

Meanwhile, an early trailer, screened to journalists in London, shows a 17-year-old Alice (played by Australian newcomer Mia Wasikowska) returning to Wonderland a decade after her earlier adventures – and this time it’s a lurid, nightmarish counterpart to Carroll’s original.

I love to read and easily go through about a dozen books a month – well I did before I had kids. Now, not so much. After my first son was born, I began to take my hobby of reviewing a little more serious and started Literary Escapism to help with my sanity. I love to discuss the fabulous novels I’ve read and meeting all the wonderful people in the book blogging community has been amazing.

  1. Beautiful pics! Those the pics from the movie? I have to wait for DVD since I need captioning for the deaf, but too this one may be one I’d go see without it! I don’t watch much movies at all, but love classic stories!

  2. Interesting that there two ‘freaked up’ Alice movies for 2010 in the making. Additionally to this one there’s also one in the Alice3D computergame – to be stared by Michelle Gellar.

Should definitely be a fun year for us Looking Glass fans with a streak of dark humor :).
