Secret Lovers Contest

Secret Lovers ContestDo you have plans for Valentines Day this year?  No?  Well…does a mysterious, secret lover of your very own sound enticing?  I know it makes me all warm and fuzzy inside.

Lucky for you, we at LE can make this happen.

We’re giving away 8+ novels during out Secret Lovers contest and one could be showing up on your doorstep.  How it works is you tell us your perfect ‘book’ date.  What would you do? Where would you go? Movie?  Picnic in the park?  Watching the stars, cuddled under blankets on a porch swing?  Let your imagination run wild and the best part, there is no worry about things going sour and that uncomfortable moment when you have to fake a call or text to leave!

To make this extra mysterious, we are wrapping up the books before choosing the winners. We won’t even know what you will be getting!  It could be Urban Fantasy, Paranormal Romance or even SciFi.  It could be an author you have never heard of before, a new release, or one that’s been around for a while.  No one knows!

So what do you say?  Are you ready, and willing, for a Secret Lover?

About Nikki R 120 Articles
SAHM of 2, happily married bookworm, blogger and aspiring author. If I could read/write all day, every day, I would. Luckily I have a very understanding, and patient, husband who lets me get away with it as much as possible. Now if only the kids would understand my obsession, and the house would clean itself, then I'd be all set.

  1. Going ice skating on an outdoor pond, then drinking hot chocolate from a thermos on a bench under a beautiful snow-laden tree right by the pond after we’re done skating.

  2. Going to a bookstore, browsing the shelves together and later discussing them at a nice cafe. And a romantic dinner in the evening.

  3. To start, before I even meet “him”, I’d get a nice long professional massage. Then a “girlfriend” would pop over to do my hair, make up and tell me what to wear. Then my date would pick me up and take me to a small family owned restaurant that has amazing dishes. We’d talk, laugh, get to know each other. Afterward, we go to a bookstore and show each other our favorites and then end the night with a long walk under the stars holding hands. Then we’d be attacked by supernatural creatures and we’d surprise each other with our superior fighting skills and/or abilities. I’d invite him in to see my home arsenal and he’s declare me the perfect girl ;)

  4. My perfect date start early with a long hike along the coast, ending up at my favorite little beach town where we would have a late brunch so we could replace all the calories we just burned off. Then we’d hang out for awhile at the beach, watching the waves and the surfers, check out the tide pools, then end the day with burgers, milkshakes and a beautiful sunset.

  5. My perfect book date would be going for a long ride and visting a place neither of us have been. Then going for a nice dinner and a walk in the moonlight.

  6. My perfect date would consist of making picnic basket full of my favorite treats, then going to a spot along the coast (beach front or a spot near this really awesome lighthouse) and eating said treats. Take blankets, books, and take pictures of the scenery while snacking & chatting :)

  7. A mountain cabin with a river/waterfall close enough to hear and walk too. There would be a moonlight swim and lounging on the deck reading. My mountain would have no bugs!

  8. My perfect book date would be with Lothaire(crazy is sexy :P ). Since he’s a vamp and can teleport everywhere I’d love to go to London then a dinner on the France Riviera and lastly… well it’s X-rated so I can’t say :D

    • Yes. I would have to go with Malkom on that one. It is one of my favorites in that series, read alone 4 times. The Island scene would be the perfect date place…… Secluded beach, lush forest and just being with that one person.

  9. I am afraid my perfect date would not be up to snuff with the reast of these ladies. I just want someone to spend some time with, no matter WHERE we go or WHAT we do. My TRUE requirements are a little… “after date” specific. Think of the ROMAN brothers from Laura Wright. *hint hint*

  10. My perfect ‘book’ date could be crazy fun or quietly romantic, an amusement park/street fair/day trip along the coast followed by a cozy dinner or movie and romantic dinner and cuddling in front of a fireplace or under the nightsky…and then after all that*shh* it’s a secret ;)

  11. My perfect Book Date involves spending time with my caring and devoted husband, whom I never get to see, since he works all hours. A day walking along the promenade by the ocean, eating at a simple seafood shack, and then relaxing on the beach. Afterwards a stroll through the beach town and dining outside on the deck of a lovely, authentic Italian restaurant.

  12. A perfect book date during the summer involves a scenic drive to a small mountain town, strolling through the historic, charming and lovely main street, stopping for a tea and scone and relaxing. This memorable day is unforgettable and special.

  13. For those curious as to which books are looking for dates, I can tell you what 7 of them are. *grin* But if you want to find out, you’ll need to follow LE at Twitter, Facebook or Google+ and wait for my little reminder tweets/updates. *evilgrin*

  14. Well, I would create a fantasy world first. Then we would go somewhere where you could eat until you were sated without worry about gaining weight. I guess, in some schemes I could be a vampire then – but vampire who can also eat regular food like the Argeneau Immortals from Lynsay Sands. So, let’s say we’re both vampires. Well, that usually means we are both gorgeous, too. So I would go out with my Lifemate for a lovely picnic under a canopy so we would be protected by the sun. It would probably be on Little Palm Island in FL, or at the Ritz Carlton in Laguna Niguel, or, if we were in Europe it could be in Munich. The picnic would have all of our favorite and the most exquisite foods (think Merit from Chloe Neill’s” Chico Vampires) caviar and pizza, hamburgers, Shisito peppers, spaghetti with a Bolognese sauce. We would then have some delish fruits and cheeses and perhaps a Gatteau St. Honore. This would be quaffed with enormous amounts of champagne and then some cognac — vampire also don’t get wasted. Of course, somewhere in there would be a bag of blood, but again, as vampires we like that. After our picnic we would recline comfortably and read while quietly, in the background, piano music played. I SAID QUIETLY, excuse me. Then of course we would go back to our home or spacious suite and enjoy a lovely bath, brush our fangs and make love til the cows came home (cows? where did they come from – there are no cows at LIttle Palm or in Laguna Niguel). Following that since we are able to stay awake all the time like Stephenie Meyers vampires we would just do it all again…..

  15. Warmth, sunshine, blue skies and a beach house seclusion provides me with relaxation and beauty. time spent in this locale will give me back my positive perspective and outlook and allow our relationship to continue for years to come.

  16. My perfect book date would be at home, in comfy jammies, with the phone off and uninterrupted time to read.

  17. My perfect date…. My date shows up at the door with flowers. We go to breakfast at a cafe and talk and laugh. He loves the same books and music and movies that I do so we have fun browsing through stores and stopping at a movie in the local mall. My date brings me home to change and plans to surprise me later. When he returns for me later, we are both dressed casual. He is grinning and seems excited about the surprise even while not giving me a hint about where we are going. We pull up to a small parking lot near the woods. My date leads me through the woods with a lantern until we come to a tent/netted room compartment that has a table set with food waiting for us. He tells me he cooked it himself. We sit and eat. Afterward, my date leads me to a telescope and shows me the stars. We talk, relax and then a soft brush of an arm while adjusting the telescope leads to a romantic moment where we share a kiss. There’s a tingle of energy that runs through me that I have never felt before and my date acts surprised. After composing himself, my date announces that the energy we felt means we are meant for each other and that he’s not exactly human. Thankfully I am not too shocked because hey, I love reading paranormal novels after all. :)

  18. My perfect date would be going to a bookstore together with no limit of time or moner, followed by a little restaurant where wan can speak and enjoy or time together before going in a beautiful garden to watch the stars i feel protected and loved
