Look Who’s Going to RT: Tera Lynn Childs

Tera Lynn ChildsCan you introduce yourself to my readers a little?
I write paranormal/fantasy books for teens about mythology (Oh. My. Gods. and Goddess Boot Camp), mermaids (Forgive My Fins, Fins Are Forever, and Just for Fins), and monsters (Sweet Venom, Sweet Shadows, and Sweet Legacy).

I can be found at: website | Blog | Facebook | Twitter | GoodReads | Formspring | YouTube

Can you introduce us to the world that you have created?
My worlds are pretty much childhood fantasy (Greek mythology, mermaids, and monster-butt-kicking triplets) set in our world. I try to make sure that: a) my worlds can co-exist, and b) it’s totally believable that these secret worlds could actually be real.

Will this be your first RT or are you a veteran? Any advice for those who are going for the first time?
This will be my fourth RT. My advice for any conference or convention goer is to pace yourself and make sure you get what you want out of the experience. You don’t have to do everything.

Are you speaking on any panels during RT? Are there any you are looking forward to?
I’m mostly doing Teen Day again this year, where I’ll be on the Professional Liars panel and will be doing a Speed Reading as well as attending the awesome Teen Day Party.

If someone were wanting to meet up with you at RT, who should they look for?
The girl with long blond hair (at the moment) probably lounging in the bar and laughing too loud.

I am a 30-something SAHM with two adorable boys and a supportive husband who is very tolerant of my reading addiction. I love to read and easily go through about a dozen books a month – well I did before I had kids. Now, not so much. After my first son was born, I began to take my hobby of reviewing a little more serious and started Literary Escapism to help with my sanity. I love to discuss the fabulous novels I’ve read and meeting all the wonderful people in the book blogging community has been amazing.
