Look Who’s Going to RT: Cecy Robson

Cecy RobsonCan you introduce yourself to my readers a little?
Hi, I’m Cecy. I’m a big dork who writes Urban Fantasy Romance, named her parakeet after Harry Dresden, and who secretly wants to have Thor’s love-child. The latter stays just between us.

Cecy (pronounced Sessy) Robson is an author with Penguin’s SIGNET ECLIPSE. She attributes her passion for story-telling back to the rough New Jersey neighborhood she was raised in. As a child, she was rarely allowed to leave the safety of her house and passed her time fantasizing about flying, fairies, and things that go bump in the night. Her dad unwittingly encouraged Cecy’s creativity by kissing her goodnight wearing vampire fangs. Gifted and cursed with an overactive imagination, she began writing her Urban Fantasy Romance Series, Weird Girls, in May 2009. The Weird Girls: A Novella and Sealed With a Curse are now available. The second novel in The Weird Girls Series, A Cursed Embrace, releases July 2, 2013.

Can you introduce us to the world that you have created?
My series is about four unique sisters who obtained their powers as a result of a backfired cursed placed upon their Latina mother. The sisters’ journey begins when the supernatural community of the Lake Tahoe region becomes aware of who they are, and what they can do. My characters’ luck is generally bad?from finding a wereraccoon rifling through their garbage to finding a trail of dead bodies. Hang on to your book / eReader. It’s going to be a heck of a ride.

Will this be your first RT or are you a veteran? Any advice for those who are going for the first time?
This is my first time. As far as advice? Just be yourself. That’s how I roll.

Are you speaking on any panels during RT? Are there any you are looking forward to?
I’ll be at The Seymour Agency Shooting Stars Gala, participating in giveaways, etc. I’ll also be at the book fairs signing my little heart out. The panels I’m most looking forward to are: Heather Graham vs Cherry Adair Showdown, Cover Model Karaoke, and Club RT where I’m doing a meet and greet.

If someone were wanting to meet up with you at RT, who should they look for?
A five-foot tall woman with long curly brown hair who’s trying not to fall in the 4 inch deathtraps she affectionately refers to as shoes. Also look for someone laughing. I enjoy a good guffaw.

About Jackie 3282 Articles
I am a 30-something SAHM with two adorable boys and a supportive husband who is very tolerant of my reading addiction. I love to read and easily go through about a dozen books a month – well I did before I had kids. Now, not so much. After my first son was born, I began to take my hobby of reviewing a little more serious and started Literary Escapism to help with my sanity. I love to discuss the fabulous novels I’ve read and meeting all the wonderful people in the book blogging community has been amazing.
