For those who can’t wait, here’s the first part of Chapter One. And for those who can’t wait for Magic Rises, Andrews has also posted a small snippet featuring Jim’s sister, Kiera.

Yasmine Galenorn has posted the titles to her newly contracted Otherworld novels – Priestess DreamingPanther Prowling, and Darkness Raging) and a novella (Flight from Hell) that will tie into her new OW spin-off series, Fly by Night (Flight from Death and Flight from Mayhem). I’m still checking to see what the tentative release dates are, but I will get them added to the Upcoming Release page soon.

Chloe Neill has posted the cover blurb for her ninth Chicagoland Vampires novel, Wild Things, due out February 2014.

Since Merit was turned into a vampire, and the protector of Chicago’s Cadogan House, it’s been a wild ride. She and Master vampire Ethan Sullivan have helped make Cadogan’s vampires the strongest in North America, and forged ties with paranormal folk of all breeds and creeds, living or dead…or both.

But now those alliances are about to be tested. A strange and twisted magic has ripped through the North American Central Pack, and Merit’s closest friends are caught in the crosshairs.  Gabriel Keene, the Pack Apex, looks to Merit and Ethan for help.  But who—or what—could possibly be powerful enough to out-magic a shifter?

Merit is about to go toe to toe, and cold steel to cold heart, to find out.

Richelle Mead’s new adult series, Age of X, begins in June with the release of Gameboard of the Gods. To get everyone ready Mead has posted a glossary as well as a detailed summary of the three principle characters – Justin March, Mae Koskinen, and Tessa (aka Teresa Cruz)

Rachel Vincent has fantastic news! She’s sold another YA series to Random House, which will be kicked off when Anathema is published in 2015 as (I believe) Vincent’s first hardcover. Anathema will be followed by Pandemonia, but I’m not sure if that will be in 2015 or in 2016.  Here’s a brief look into this new series:

A 16-year-old girl discovers not only that the Church is run by demons and she is one of the very few who can exorcise them, but also that she must join forces with other rogue exorcits to save her younger sister and ultimately, humanity.

Fabulous news for Blood Sisters (2/14/14), the film version of Vampire Academy by Richelle Mead. The top three characters have been cast (Rose, Dimitri, and Lissa) and now it’s been given the “green light” to begin shooting this fall!  If you live in the UK, keep your eyes open as they’ll be filming there. Oh! With the news taking an unexpected hiatus, I’ve been out of the loop on many things, so I started digging around a little more for information on Blood Sisters and found the 5 Reasons feature Penguin Teen Australia did on the main characters. After reading each one, I’m even more convinced Blood Sisters will be even more awesome than Twilight.

I am a 30-something SAHM with two adorable boys and a supportive husband who is very tolerant of my reading addiction. I love to read and easily go through about a dozen books a month – well I did before I had kids. Now, not so much. After my first son was born, I began to take my hobby of reviewing a little more serious and started Literary Escapism to help with my sanity. I love to discuss the fabulous novels I’ve read and meeting all the wonderful people in the book blogging community has been amazing.
