RIP III Challenge

It’s getting close to that time of year again and I’ve been looking at the various Halloween inspired challenges that have been popping up and I found one I want to join – Carl V at Stainless Steel Droppings’ R.eaders I.mbibing P.eril Challenge. Here are the details:

  1. R.I.P. III runs from September 1st through October 31st, 2008.
  2. Choose one of more of the perils listed.
  3. Leave a comment announcing your intention to join and a link to the post* on your site.
  4. Post links to your reviews on the R.I.P.ing Yarns Review Site.
  5. The most important thing: Have Fun!

I’ve decided to join the “Peril the First” group and read 4 books during the time frame. I should be able to pick three out of the genres listed – Mystery, Suspense, Thriller, Dark Fantasy, Gothic, Horror, Supernatural – especially since I have a few on them sitting on my desk now. I may end up reading more than four, but that’s alright. This challenge seems like it’s really flexible and that was what I was looking for. I’m going to list more than four, however, that way I can pick and choose depending on my mood, but they will all get read at some point.

  3. Yay, new authors (at least for me)! I came here looking at other people’s pool of books for the challenge and this one I can definitely say stumped me as I haven’t read from any of them :) The titles look great!

  5. I have read none of the books on your list, but the titles sound great! Look forward to your reviews, I imagine I’ll have a few to add to my wishlist!
